When should auto

I have 3 white widow autoflower plants that i am growing outside in pots. They have been in the vegetative stage around 7 weeks, about Twice as long as the product description says. They are each around 2 feet tall. I bought some ILGM plant food which arrived today. Will the plant booster accelerate flowering? Or should i stick to vegetative food until they start to flower? Do i need to make sure they have total darkness?

The product descriptions are not always hard and fast when growing autos. They will flower on their own time table, I did have one that I raised in a tent who waited 8 weeks to finally show preflower.

I would feed them vegetative food until you see the pistils form on the top of the bud sites.

Some people grow autos under 24 hour a day light schedules. So no, they don’t need total darkness - as photoperiod plants do.

Post some pictures when you get a chance, I’d love to see them!

Sometime an auto doesn’t have the correct gene to start flowering on its own. Keep watching for a spurt of growth or a ā€˜Stretching’ of the branches. That usually signals flowering has begun. Depending on your location the Photoperiod will eventually trigger flowers.
Check with your seed provider for flowering specifics.

I had one auto out of five from the same seed bank, and order that decided it was going to be a photo and it didn’t auto flower. Thing wound up being a monster. I had one auto out of five from the same seed bank and order that decided it was going to be a photo and it didn’t auto flower if that’s the case with your plant and it’s just not flowering you’re gonna have a massive auto.

Or she might just be a late bloomer for you like fiz said too!

These plants are amazing!

Yeah, my late bloomer was an 8 oz yield. Took me a year to smoke her and she was absolute fire. Worth the wait - she went around 150 days.

Street weed here is b/t 300 - 400/oz, and dispensary weed is more - a lot more. So I think I made back my equipment investment and more in one plant.

Inflation is killing cannabis prices as well and the tax the dispos charge holy crap!!! I’ll say you’ve made it back and then some! It feels good knowing how much money you save each time you harvest. I sat with my wife and we thought about it the other day. I’ve made my money back 10 fold. Literally. Makes me happy for sure. Plus no risks in getting fentanyl laced crap. Or moldy bud.

The benefits and pros are endless.

Love this hobby!!

My ā€œautoā€ went 124 I think it was. Thing was massive. 44 3/8ā€ from soil.

Oh me too! I retired early to take care of my husband who has the long covid case from h***. I started growing afterward with the promise that it would eventually save us money. He worried over the electricity, but I went over the numbers with him and he relaxed.

He didn’t use cannabis before, but now I make capsules for his insomnia which work pretty well for him, so now he gets it.

It’s a magical plant! My wife was worried about the electricity but all LEDS proved it wasn’t but maybe a couple bucks a month. After first good harvest she was like wow I get it.

All the positives she’s seen from me using for medicine and not pharma. Improvements in mood. Pain management. Anxiety. Depression. Not to mention the therapeutic aspect of taking care of your garden. I told her it’s like visiting friends down the street when you go in the tent. Sit down have a conversation. Smoke a bowl. Give and take relationship. You give, watch them thrive and blossom into amazing medicine. You know what you’re getting and you can grow for what you need.

Thanks to every for their responses. Every time I go look at plants I estimate how much this amount would cost at a dispensary. But I messed up the first time inside and am nervous. Thanks for your patience.

Feel free to tag at any time, I’m around at some point every day.

Also, we can tell how your plants are doing if you post pictures of them.

We could also use information as to what you’re growing in, your light(s), and your nutes. That way we can fine tune our advice to your particular situation.

I hear that my friend. I’m in Las Vegas this week hitting the Planet 13, Reef and Cookies on the Strip.
I rate Cookies on the Strip to have better prices and a fantastic menu of choices.

But, the weed I’ve grown is much more enjoyable when I have a Cookies to Cookies comparison to my grow.

I got some Girl Scout Cookies eXtreme from ILGM 3rd pick above. The 2nd pick is from a seed from the GSCx. The 1st pic is from a Jealousy seed from a friend in LA.

He won’t smoke, which I wish he would, it’s so much quicker. But he likes the capsules I make and no longer complains about not sleeping.

My wife is actually ok with me bringing my girls inside. I just got through setting up my amateur grow room which isn’t bad at all. I got a decent light, a nice little fan and good ventilation. Humidity and temp are now on point. One week in and theyre doing so much better. This South Texas heat has been detrimental to my girls. Its just become very expensive in the street market. We figured its definitely worth a shot producing our own goods. Hoping to enjoy my very first harvest in the near future.

Make sure you spray them down good when you bring them inside. Bugs thrive in my tent so I has to put a bug zapper in with them.

I feel his pain. I too deal with the long term china crud. After 2 1/2 years my symptoms have lessened, plus I’ve learned how to handle the times. Best of luck to him. On the insomnia issue, another one of my problems, unrelated, are the affects the same results as smoking? All dependent on the smoke/type?
