I had some germination issues during this grow. The result is one Gorilla Cookies plant in flower, and two Gold Line plants in veg. The former is doing well, but it’s on the small-ish side. That is due to my T3 humidifier working intermittently and inconsistently early in that grow cycle. The latter are vigorous and happy plants. Those two could almost fill my 3’x3’ tent.
They look shaggy, but that is intentional—I tend to pluck too many leaves, which impacts yield. This grow is a study in restraint in that regard.
I favor ILGM genetics. These seeds were given to me when I made a purchase from my local retailer, Greener Gardens in Richfield, MN.
Grow details:
– Medium: Build-A-Soil 3.0 re-ammended after one grow cycle last summer
– Pots: 7-gallon fabric
– Nutes: Voodoo Juice poured into my AutoPot reservoir, nothing else
@Bonjoyle — Yes, my bad on the Voodoo Juice. And yes, BAS 3.0 has everything the plants need. That soil combined with an AutoPot watering system, makes growing a snap. I started with conventional techniques and products, but have arrived at this approach, which suits me nicely.
Okay, now I’m wondering about what, if anything, I should add to the BAS 3.0. Should I mix up a worm casting teas and add some to my AutoPot reserviore? If so, how much?
Hoping to get advice from some BAS users and those invested in organic grows.
I ran my last grow entirely on BAS 3.0 with added top dressing during flower and some craft blend during veg and here and there during flower. Easily my best buds and they probably coulda been better had I gotten my environment synced up a little nicer. The BAS should have just about everything you need, but you’ll wanna boost it during flower for sure. I used SIP’s and tap water aerated with a bit of molasses from time to time.
Far as adding to the reservoir, I’m not sure if that could potentially clog it up or what. I top dressed and top watered when adding teas. But yes definitely use teas for flower. Banana teas and compost teas really helped get them along.
Not sure about autopots. But with the top dressing, just add about an inch or so to the top of the soil and saturate it with water. I did that probably 3 times during flower and used compost teas here and there just as a quick boost. Top dressing takes a while for it to really be absorbed into the soil but compost teas are pretty immediate.
I second that craft blend, it’s a great product. I also really liked a product called TM7 by bioag. It’s has humic acids and such which do help with the organic side.
Build a Soil has something similar. I think they call it the Big 6. Same idea. But from what I hear it really helps the soil and all the minerals work together. Good stuff @Autos-only
