My 1st Grow - Berry Bomb Auto & White Widow Auto

Its just a process. Literally. Did it 3-5 times over the summer. Each time lasted a bit longer…

Here it is. Not really much to look at. But im learning. :joy:

Out side is harder because you have no control but if you in the climate its all good

The outside girl is ginormous tho. And apparently hella bug resistant.

I know and your power bill not high lolololol

Not at all. O left the bulbs on 16 outta 30 days. 35$ increase in my bill. Tops. But at the expense of my inside girls not reaching full potential. Will change soon. N no more outside grows for me…

Im lying. Ill forever have a guerilla hidden amonst the bushes

Fridge #1 - 50 mm x 80 mm - too small but potential :+1:t5:

Fridge #2 - 50 mm x 64 mm - also to small and still works so ill be keeping my fridge :joy::rofl:… the big refrigerator maybe repurposable… is that a word? Am i doing 2 damn much? Am i so high i dont gaf?.?.?

Fridge 3… - :man_facepalming:t5: Has long fridge and long freezer doors. No way thats gone fit… dangit!

DB. The time is upon me… have everything orderd except drivers and aluminum. Going local for plates today. After we nail the builds n drivers needed.

Think i like the 200w driver for 9 strips. Isnt a the one with built-in driver? Also would i be looks for hlg-185 (since they run higher then nameplater?)

The 2 seperate 10 strip builds sounds nice. But i think id rather do a 9. Then a 6 at another day for vegging.:thinking: help me decide here! :joy::joy::joy:

9 eb gen 2 on hlg-185h-c1050a will give you about a 200 watt light and have built in dimmer. You’ll have s little more heat in your strips at that current, so maybe oversize plate s little.

Thats what i was thinking. Maybe even a whole 24x24 plate. Leave me space to add a bit n tweak her later. Maybe stretch metal a bit bigger since i know i intend on expanding it. Lovely eb/cob tricks uve been doing.

That would probably be plenty safe. Good thinking.

Everything orderd and bought except aluminum. I bought 36x36x.019 thinking it was .190. And amazon didnt have the right sized sheets :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth: anyhow. Will continue my metal hunting.

Harvested Berry Bomb Auto last weekend. She was jarred Thursday. Eyeballing? Around 15-20 grams of AMAZING tasting weed. In jar it has a grapefruitish-blueberry smell. Bit of… sour? Maybe my jar. But thats why i said grapefruit. Smoking ash is white n dry. The taste blowing out is the major fruity. I smoked a j Thursday when jarring. And another this morning. The hay taste was still there when blowing out. Cant wait to try next week. Wont last to a good cure.
The high is unlike any ive ever had. All head high. No couchlock at all. Just a nice euphoric buzz. Off first hit (smoking with two friends) before it came back u feel a slight buzz. When it got back a bit lazy eyed. Third rotation… you can put her out and wait for the ride :joy::joy: worth it even for a 30 day veg and 70 + day flower (weirf af right)

But this journal dies with light completion. All in all? A semi success. Many seeds died. Many plants died. Many lessons learnd. Ph meter coming. Better lighting coming. Red diesel (fem) vegging (albeit small). Afghan hash’s (regular) broke soil today… hopefully by Wednesday they’ll have a better headstart then everybody else and ill have a new journal. Thanks everyone and wish me luck in the next go round.

Awesome and congrats on the harvest!

Do a web search for metal or machine shops in your area and give them a call. Ask them if they have a remnant or piece that they can sell you reasonably. Give them your minimum size and maximum size and see if they can come up with anything.

Like dbrn said try local shops and if nothing else try grainger. They’re a little pricey but if you’re near a big city they have a lot of different metals in stock. That’s where I’m getting U channel for my border.

I called a few a couple weeks ago. May just go riding Monday. Alot easier face to face for me. Over the phone i feel rushed somewhat. Thanks for the words of advice tho fellas. We have a Grainger contract at work but i cant use it. Does mean there is one close though.

Yep most likely. If you’re in or near a major city I’ll almost guarantee there’s one local.

Arrrrgh! Im having hell chasing down this aluminum! I keep finding 12x24 or 24x46. Places who have 24x24 want like $80 :joy::joy: and only place local that had my sizes wantd $70 as well… and Grainger only has the funny sizes i mentiond at first. Amazon has a TON of 12x12. Found another site that will sale 5 12x12s for 21$ like that is amazing and all buuuuuut cant use em :joy:

What about two 24”x12” with a couple pieces of angle screwed to each? If you have room in your space, you could even leave a little gap to mount driver between plates.

:thinking::thinking: i actually was wondering if i could connect two plates! So Angling connecting it. Would that work with the 9 strips n 185 driver? Like 5 on 1, 4 on the other? Or in that case do i do 9 and 9 and add another driver later?

Sure. All you have to do is still wire the strips in series.

Lmao. DB it was more of an either or. Guess that means both work in theory?
