Midwest's 2021 Bubblegum Grow

She’s fattening up and will be ready for harvest in 2 to 3 weeks. I’ve backed the lights down by a third to mitigate foxtailing.

Looking good getting ready to switch my girls to flower on Sunday. Can’t wait they’re already huge.

Still fattening up. I got a little carried away with the Grow Big last watering and she is showing it with darker, waxy leaves and a little leaf tip burning. No more nitrogen for at least 2 feedings. The stretch is over, so she doesn’t need a whole lot of nitrogen, but I was trying to get PPMs up.

I can’t get the nack for soil for some reason none of my soil plants looked like that I’m gonna do strictly hydro from here on out have one more in the soil getting ready to chop but it’s an auto and not that big may get an Z off it but I do wish my soil plants came out looking like this.

I’ve been growing in Happy Frog for a couple of years now and have it pretty dialed in. I thought about going hydro, but I don’t need the speed of growth and hydro seemed like a lot of work. All I do now is water/feed every 3rd or 4th day.

It’s really not a lot of hard work believ it or not with the jacks 321 it’s simple all I do is ph test the water once maybe twice a day if I have time. correct it if off and do a bucket change once every two weeks and tip-off with fresh nutes in between I found my soil too much guessing this way you know what it’s taking in the exact ph everything and the growth is explosive. I do want to learn to control soil a bit better though. I’m going to try again when my mushroom compost is done.

She’s sagging due to the bulk of the flowers. They’ve really packed on the weight over the past 2 weeks. Thank God for silica. A plant with weaker stems wouldn’t be able to hold these flowers up.

I’m looking for a little amber, so she probably has 2 weeks to go before first harvest. I’ll harvest in 2 stages to ensure proper thich colors throughout the flower once it is cured.

Still have some slight nitrogen toxicity. I won’t be adding more nitrogen for a few feedings.

great looking plant, i am jealous, i can’t keep my plant green during this part of growing in 5 tries.

I’ve had that problem too. It was usually overfeeding or salt buildup. I let the runoff pH tell me how much salt buildup I have. Once pH becomes difficult to manage, I will do a flush. I generally flush 2 times per grow.

I’ll stop feeding her in a week and will let the plant leach nutes from the leaves and whatever is left in the soil. Should get some interesting colors within a few days of cutting off nutes.

hellraiser suggested i needed to get a ppm meter and check it. i guess i will break down and get one today.

what do you look for in this?

When runoff pH gets too low and is hard to bring back up to ~6.5, it’s a good indication that you have salt buildup.
