Midwest's 2021 Bubblegum Grow

Doing nicely. I flipped her a few days ago and she’s just starting to show preflowers.

PPM is low at 700. I’m gradually raising that with each feeding and she should be at the target PPM after a couple more waterings.

She had a haircut yesterday.

I always run into issues in my soil plants I have the hydro down though when I have the space going to setup a complete rdwc system.

I’ve always grown in Happy Frog. I’ve made a few mistakes, but I’ve got it squared away now.

I made my own super soil and put the hf on top maybe it’s just too hot for the autos I use no nutes I just enjoy the hydro more have more control obverse what the plants getting in a way.

Moody little lady. She always pouts for a few hours after a watering. I fed her this morning and she pouted for a few hours again, but she’s praying to the light again this afternoon.

Flowers are shaping up nicely. Pistil buttons at this point. I flipped her a week or 2 ago.

plants look great guy, good job!

Gave her a serious haircut today after ~3 weeks since the flip. I dang near lollipopped her.The stretch will be over in another week, and depending on how she grows I may do some supercropping for better light penetration. Once supercropped, training will be done and I will begin introduce silica to stiffen her up for heavy flowers.

great looking plant bud! so i tried silicate once, according to the directions you had do use it separate from other nutes. i only used one application. i had a real problem with drooping when i did the blue dream, the buds were so heavy that the top would point to the ground. i tried propping them up with wooden dowels but less than stellar results lol. so, silicate would have helped with the blue dream?

Silica products definitely stiffen up plants. I add 15 to 20 ml over a few feedings and it does a great job. I’ve never had a problem mixing it with other nutes.

kk, i will try it if i see i’m going to have huge buds this time. one of the reasons that i didn’t do more than one dose is that at the time someone told me that if you don’t put silicate in the plants had less chance of splitting, the silicate make the branches break instead of bending.

This is correct. It stiffens up the plant quite a bit and it is why I will add silica only after all training is completed.

She’s doing well. The stretch is over and training is done so I will be adding 5ml silica over the next 3 waterings to stiffen her up so she can better handle heavy flowers.

Gave her a flush yesterday followed by a light dose of nutes. She’s doing really super. Not sure what week of flower she is in as I didn’t keep track. Looks like maybe week 5. She should start packing on some weight in another week or 2.

I flushed since I was seeing salt buildup on the fabric pot and have recently had a hard time controlling runoff pH. Also saw some symptoms of nute burn beginning, which is normal when you get into the latter part of flowering and have salts build up.

I’ll give her full nutes again when the soil dries out.

Pistils are starting to recede. Means there is probably 3 - 4 weeks left to chop. They should start fattening up this coming week.

they’ll start the next week or two, but i think they really fill out the last two weeks, and they look great
