Hey all, I have 4 Mephisto ladies about 12 days old. They are really squatty. I’ve been keeping the dli around 35 hoping they’d get a bit taller. First time in coco. Canna coco nutes. 550ppm. So many nodes but short. Any input is always appreciated.

Not too bad for 12 days old. You can encourage them to stretch out (more spacing btw nodes) by decreasing light intensity.

Ok. What ppfd or dli do you think I should shoot for? I was trying to let them stretch for the light because I have a 860 watt SF that’s about 4ft high. About 20 or so % power. Which was giving me 30ish dli through the photon app.

You’ll have to go with trial and error, as there is no formula for doing so. I would reduce intensity by 20 to 25% to start and then adjust as necessary. Cannabis grows really fast, so you should see the plant adjusting with 10-days to 2 weeks.

Are they still on a 24 hour light schedule? A DLI of 35 is too intense and especially under 18 or 24 hours. I would recommend a DLI of 25 for 12 day old seedlings Growmie

A lot of folks use it, but I’m not a fan. The Uni-T with blue tooth is cheap and pretty accurate.
" Migro Uni-T " has a good video about it.
I like that I can use it with the ppfd app and watch my phone instead of trying to see it while under the light.

They are 24hrs. I did scale the light back to “1” on the ac controller. Appreciate the feedback!

Gotta be a Mephisto thing. Some have gained some height so far but the crème de la chem x skywalker is damn near growing backwards.
None of my other grows stayed this squatty. Indica or otherwise. Had an issue last grow with a mimosa x orange punch and was the smallest and couldn’t raise the autopot tray to the light. The others were much taller… ended up being my favorite out of the strains but just under 1/2 lb. New to coco and synthetic nutes and just squeaking by. Always value your input @ChittyChittyBangin. Never been wrong!

I had a auto grow last year and entire plant was no bigger than a 20 oz bottle (grand daddy purple)

I did a gg4 last summer outside and she was tiny. Only got 40gr. It was decent tho!..
Here is a Mephisto Chemdog at 6 weeks, week 1 flower. It’s 2 feet and stretching so there is height in the family.
