Mars hydro warrañties

I purchased a ts1000 from Amazon/Mars hydro. There’s supposed to be a five year warranty. I e emailed them waiting on a reply.
I’ve used the light in veg and flower. Recently it’s been running in veg at like 25% or so. I moved things around the other day and cranked it up to 100 intensity. Well now my tent is in the 90s for temp!!! The control box is hot enough to burn your hand. Wasn’t like this before. I e only had the light 4 months not even 5.
Anyone else experienced this? Or other problems?
What was Mars hydro reply???

I put a meter on the driver to see how hot it was and it was 106ºF. If tmeps are a problem where you are, disconnect the driver from the unit and mount it outside the tent.
As for Mars’s customer service, I have not had to contact them for anything. Both my 1000’s are still running fine but I switched to the Diablo 350r this year and have the 2 TS1000’s as back up or if I get another tent for veg.
Good luck.

Why would I do that when it wasn’t a problem. Before???

I ran 2 TS1000s and a single SP-150 all together in my tent up until the last grow cycle. Temps were in the low 80s on most days. Plants were just fine.
All LEDs generate heat. As well and power supplies. A small fan is all I use for ventilation.
I however never close my tent. So I don’t have it bottled up. I have an exhaust system but never use it.

I had the Mars TS 1000, it was a pretty good light that did get quite hot, I never put a thermometer on it though. Now I’ve made the switch to HLG 320W XL V2 rspec it also does get quite hot on full blast. I just up the exhaust fan a bit.

If you are talking to me, I was only offering a suggestion that others have used when dealing with high tent temps.

I’ve flowered on this tent two months ago. And it never exceeded 81. The only reason I know the temp is because of my hydrometer. I do have a Lazer thermometer I might actually check the control box when the lights are on in the morning.
The thing is is wasn’t like this two months ago. It’s a new recent thing happening. I also have a ts2000 and it’s nowhere near as hot as this ts1000 gets now.

Check the leaves on top of the plants canopy. Check the soil temps.
That’s where you need to be concerned. Above the light is not going to cause problems.

It’s the entire tent not just above the light…

I was just curious if anybody had issues with their control box getting way hotter then it’s supposed to. Or ANY other problems with their lights with Mars and how was it handled.
