2 Mars Hydro TS 3000 in a 5x5

G’day from Australia. Long time listener, first time caller.

I’m green when it comes to led lights. I’ve ran 600w hps with a lumtek ballast turned up to 1000w but it’s summer here and my bill is killer this time of year. Thought I’d spend my pocket money on some led lights and give it a go this time round so…

Quick question: Can I run 2 Mars Hydro TS 3000 in a 5x5 tent?

Is it beneficial? Pros and cons?

I appreciate the help and feedback.

Thanks in advance.

I took a quick look at it and it would definitely work. I hate promoting hlg (personal reasons) but if you are handy with simple tools they have a kit light for about $50 cheaper than the 2 Mars ts3000 and is a far superior light check it out here’s a link.

You can yes.
HLG is top quality great warranty with top of the line quality control and efficiency. There is a licensed distributor in Australia, I don’t know it off by hand.

I prefer kingbrite, find it on Alibaba.

They are all made in China, have Chinese parts and made in Chinese factories. Some have have higher quality control and better warrantys. Some use true Samsung boards with Samsung chips screwed into a heatsink while others use boards made in China specifically for their lights, mars hydro, spider farmer and other amazon like lights. These boards are lower cost and lower quality but save the company money.

Kingbrite is a industrial led manufacturer that only sells grow lights on Alibaba, must be a corporate move I’m not sure exactly. They are responsible for many street lights and other industrial lighting, they have high quality and a decent warranty (I have had a warranty discussion with one of my lights as it flickers at minimum voltage). Kingbrite is the best choice in my opinion, you get near hlg quality for a fraction of the cost. Mars hydro and spider farmer do a great job at advertising and it works but their products are over priced for what they are. They will grow bud don’t get me wrong and better than any burple but they are no true Samsung board /raw heatsink style light.

Ok sorry again about the link

From what I remember the xs4000 looked good on paper to me but hlg is just quality…not firmilar with Mars lights but I have 4 hlg 600s

Awesome feedback. Greatly appreciated.

Thanks again!

For the price of one hlg 600r you can get two of th sf4000 and the hlg is 610w the two sf is 900w there is no difference in the parts that are used to build them they have equal efficiency the only thing I found different was the actual aluminum plate they had everything mounted to

That sp6500 tho.

Might sound like a stupid question but can you run to 2 different lights in a tent? Does one become useless if the other put out more wattage?

Not worried about price as I got mine for 715… 2 year warranty pre built can’t complain I wasent to electrically inclined at first didn’t wanna buy a kit and burn it out there even cheaper …yes there are better but the rspecs were top of the line 2 yrs ago… they are better then de 1000 which are tried and true more efficent… 30%more light I dont need much more then that …I have veg lights these are flower specific lights so for there task there just as good as any others my light is already into co2 capability so more light is just raising my co2 capable capacity which I’m not running so anything over 400 500 ppm of co2 is waste of energy I can rev my lights to 1500 ppfd …y would I do that when 800 is all ambient co2 can synthesize so bigger is better if you plan on maxing 1500 ppm co2 and another couple grand in equipment but untill then your putting carriage in front if the horse

The kingbrites are cheaper than the spider farmers, probably the mars hydro’s as well and just as good as the HLG’s (well that you’ll be able to notice at least)

I looked at the kingbrites and I was interested but on ali site there’s not alot of info. That was before I was on the forum so I went with sf that wasn’t because they were superior it was because they had replaced a light for my brother no question asked after he had it for two years. I probably wouldn’t have gone with sf if I knew more about other brands. I’ve only learned reading about from all of you guys. Eventually I’ll upgrade again and well I’ll upgrade

No you can run different lights as long as you can adjust them individually especially if they are very different as in power I ran my blurple lights with my sf for two rounds and went good

Oh don’t get me wrong I got cobs first 200w and figured it would grow my 2x4 space lol then I got a hlg $$$ solid light don’t get me wrong but soooo pricey.
Now I have 2 kingbrites, one has a very minor issue where at the lowest voltage a strip doesn’t work but kingbrite said they will send me a new one once I order my other light (I told them to do it at that time) so I want to get another 320xl for my 4x5 and that will give me a replacement 240w.
They stand behind their stuff, I’m stoked about that.

I just try to get people to skip all the mistakes I made lol
