Mars hydro fc-e3000

Im on my 2nd grow with this light and im wondering if i should be looking for an upgrade. I think its a pretty good light and the plants are happy. Im aiming for at least A quality bud. Any one had experience with it?

Getting a quality bud isnt because of lighting it comes down to a few things like what training you have done and do u lollipop ur plants and yes lighting is in there with this mix, also it comes down ur environment like air flow humidity and temps and also ur feeding schedule and what nutrients your feeding your plant

I haven’t used Mars lights but have seen many beautiful grows done under their lights, definitely good equipment and a good reputation for their customer service. Can you spend more and get better yes of course you can

yep all of those factors are great right now. I just checked my vpd for the month and its been consistant. Only issue im having is ph fluctuation in this system im using but plants are looking beautiful. Im attempting using a scrog for the first time, think thats going well too. I only have a 3x3 tent because of space restrictions, so i dont think i want to go to crazy with the light yet. Im trying to get the wife to let me use a room in the basement :smirk:

Looks like you are doing pretty good with the light you are using, but you are in veg that’s where it really counts

Yeah and that says it’s 12 inches high it’s probably much better spread at 15-18 that light should get you some nice dense buds like the other guy said up  there, there’s many other factors to getting good bud.
You look like you know a little at least your scrog training is spot on , I’m no scrog expert but I’ve seen alot of them. I’ve wanted to try it but my health is pretty bad so trying to get up under the net would be nearly impossible for me

I use an fc3000. The E series look like good lights. Check out Bill ward on YouTube he has done a couple grows with those lights, you can also check out Dr mj coco he has done a whole test and review on that light and it may give you some insight on its use.

Let’s talk training and feeding. Are you doing any leaf stripping or lollipoping? Those things can help give you a more grade a bud. What kinda nutrition and also what kind of control over your ph and so forth have you had?

The light isn’t “state of the art” true, but it isn’t sub par by any means.

I just started my first grow in an 8x4 and bought 3 of those lights. Unfortunately I just broke soil 2 days ago so I can’t comment on how well they will produce, but the build quality seems very nice on them! You are more than welcome to follow along on my journal and watch the results.

I removed all the larger leaves before putting the net on. Then as I train I remove to give light to any developing sites. I was going to lollipop once i got the net filled to where i want it. Im feeding with a brand called Gold Leaf but my ph keeps jumping to 7.4 damn near everyday even though it suppose to be stable…im working on it but they are healthy and responding.

I definitely will be following for sure. This is my 2nd grow with this light. I thought it did great on the first run but what do I know. Plants seem to be very happy

Lol and I replied after reading all the response…stoner life!!! On the lights though, once i get past 50% power i cant keep the temps below 75. I see you have the drivers on them, I have mine outside the tent and that happens. Just fyi you probably be able to control it better with the bigger tent

Mine is sitting at 75 degrees right now and with Humidifier it’s sitting at 79%RH with my lights on 50% and my fan on speed1 .Luckily in the veg that’s right in specs for the VPD chart. I ran my lights on 100% for a day and my fan on speed 5 of 10 and maintained 76 degrees and 60% RH. I noticed the drivers don’t seem to put off much heat.
