3 x 3 tent, 125 cfm exhaust fan and 600 Mars Hydro led light. My last three grows were ok. Fox farm potting soil, fox farm trios and always 6 ph (after adding FF). 80 degree average temp with 40% humidity. Is the Mars Hydro enough light? Thanks in advance:herb:

Which Mars 600? More than likely, your lights are holding you back from the results you’re looking for

IMO that light would be good for a 2x2 area but it may work well I don’t know specs on it so really can’t help.

Welcome to the family @Rdb lots of great people here.
A quick search of amazon gave me a mars 600 that only pulled 192watts from the wall. I have to agree with @MattyBear, which isn’t to hard knowing his mad skills, the light is holding you back. It also reads that it is rated for a 2x2.5 area. I would look at upgrading your light. For the same area I have a HLG-300 and I am very happy with my harvests under this light.

I agree with the light statements, I know when I got a good light, wow the plants eat it up. I use a QB light in my 3X3. Makes them eat.

Yes I have a QB light set and a cob led light and another Led light that pulls 265@ the wall in a 2x6 closet and when I put the QBs I noticed a big difference in growth

Mod #. Mars 600-120led—110. 110vac,60HZ,49A, 278 w. I thank you for your time brother. 66 year old VN Vet, been 420 for 51 years, trying to grow, 4th grow coming up. Part of the problem, condo in Fl., hard to keep temp down. I also cannot afford much more, wife giving evil eye as can only grow whenair conditioning is on to keep temp below 80. I know, I know to hot. Thanks again for your help. Your take on best economic sense for light?

I have 2 different 3x3 tents and in one I have a 260w Quantum Board Kit and in the other I have a DIY strip light I built. You probably want to stick with LEDs being in the hot climate that you’re in

at 278 actual watts the Mars 600 will cover 5 square feet, like the specs say 2’ x 2.5’,
it will veg the 3x3 very well.!
grow one plant under the Mars 600 for now and save up for more/better lighting to fill your 3x3.!

I thought I was the only slow old guy! So, I have been looking at DIY QM boards on e-bay, Amazon. Seems like HLG company has lock on these. What are you seeing for prices, dual 240’s. If I extended power ballast outside of tent? Might be able to grow year round here in Fl. Heat is a problem when ac not on. I would like to try an unbranded setup that uses quality led’s. I used the Mars hydro reflector 480, but now I see a lot of people using QB, or Mars hydro SP, so I also want to ask which one is better, which lamp should I buy next?
