This is a long post however, itās a good read. You just might learn something.
took the gummy at 4:00 a.m. knowing I was severely ready for bed. It didnāt knock me out as it hadnāt kicked in when I fell asleep at 4:30 am
This was my Day 1 THC Gummy Test
Let me start by saying Iām a firm believer that sleep is an incredibly important factor if not one the most important of your bodies development both physically and mentally. Letās just say if you can get 8 hours sleep per day everyday youāve probably addressed one of the main factors required in your life to live healthier.
My neurologist told me the healthiest brain wakes up without an alarm clock everyday at the same time within 15 minutes -/+ repetitively/consistently.
My body does that. I go to bed between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. I wake up between 11:45 and 12:00 every night (thatās 3 of my 8 hours needed)
I then go back to sleep at 3:00 a.m. and normally wake up at 6:00 a.m.- 6:30 a.m.
(thatās 3 more hours of sleep).
During the summer 80% of the time Iāll take a nap around 2:00 p.m. and get up at 4:00 p.m. (2 more hours of sleep)
My neurologist said if taking the midday nap Iāll meet the requirement of the very important factor of getting 8 hours sleep in a 24-hour period. And the the fact that this is a repetitive continuous cycle every single day itās even more healthier.
Now we come to the good part, (me trying to manipulate shit)
This sleeping pattern although very healthy does not fit my lifestyle whatsoever as being retired with health conditions as itās not enough night time sleep and fatigue sets in all through the day and fatigue sucks.
If you notice from reading my schedule above Iām up all hours of the night and Iām most of the day therefore people think I never sleep
When in fact I get between 6 and 8 hours every day theyāre just in small spurts.
My neurologist told me your brain needs to be up and needs to reset with a good balance and your brain will picks the times not you. Drinking alcohol, taking sleeping pills, ect is normally consumed to manipulate this as you as a person want more sleep. The brain doesnāt like when you do that and youāre sleeping pattern should not be manipulated. (As per my neurologist)
Any fellow Teamster, or overnight worker out there knows sometimes in life our job gives us different starting times throughout the season some days you work nights some days you work days and your brain for the most part will adjust to new time factors (for some people better than others)
Most of you know me know that I always elaborate and detail my topics to make you more informed of the topic. For this Iām sorry for the long post.
The moral to this story
Iām trying to be that go to sleep at 10:00 p.m. and wake up at 7:00 a.m. person and no matter how hard I try I canāt break my sleeping pattern.
My general doctor has always told me cannabis is a safe easy effective way to adjust your sleep. Although I believe this to be true my physical lung condition will not allow me to smoke marijuana. A lot of people have told me even on this forum I should try gummies. Well last night was test number one
It cost me $25 for a bottle of 10 gummies that are 10 mg each. Being a very low tolerant cannabis consumer I start my first dose with a 5 mg gummy.
I figured I would take this at 8:45 p.m. and try to go to sleep before they kick in and see if it allows me to sleep through that 12:00 a.m. wake up that my brain does every single night. Unfortunately, I forgot to take the gummy at 8:45 so when I woke up at midnight and went to bed at 4:00 I took the gummy at 4:00 a.m. (that doesnāt mess up the test)
Results
By 4:30 a.m. I was fast asleep long before the gummy had kicked in Iām sure. I woke back up at 5:00 a.m. (I normally donāt do that) and I was high as shit so high that I couldnāt get up and look at my phone to see the time. Iāve reached for my remote control to the TV saw that it was 5:00 a.m. and right back to sleep
I then woke up at 6:30 am slightly felt buzzed but definitely incoherent so to speak I just wasnāt ready to get up. I fell back asleep and woke up at 10:00 a.m. feeling slightly cloudy upstairs in my brain. After brushing my teeth washing my face and getting a cup of coffee I was back to 100%
What does this tell me
I have no Fukāin clueš„³
