LostGirls Outdoor Garden Center 🚨

Thank you. I like the raised beds so I don’t have to bend over. I’m not a spring chicken anymore. Some of the lower beds I made so I could sit on a 5 gallon bucket flipped upside down comfortably and do anything I needed to do in the bed so it all works out good

If everything works out this year I intend to open up another 40 foot extension so I can try other things like corn etc.

I understand the getting older and not wanting to bend over. I had my spine fused and another surgery to fix my sciatic nerve in my right leg. Raised beds make tons of sense. Will be watching along with your journey. I have my garden all planted. :call_me_hand:

I have high expectations for this year (or its the calm before the storm)

3:00am and the birds are chirping like it’s 7:00am Like me, they never sleep

The lady duck has returned (she’s got balls) moved to the side of the porch to a different bush, built a new nest, laid 2 eggs and left again. Hard to believe after getting robbed of her last batch of eggs by the Big Bad Fox on Easter.

My son’s new work truck still isn’t ready (awaiting a rear pulldown door) so he flying back tonight from NC as we have a :poop: of side work to get done. Been very quiet lately having him aways for 2 weeks (and quite boring) I believe we can knock out all the jobs by Sunday if we work hard.

His new company took him tool shopping yesterday and spent $9250.00 on all new tools and told him he can get the rest of whatever he needs when he gets back to MD.

That’s incredibly rare. Most technicians get a $300 a year tool allowance if there lucky and that’s for specialty tools only. With the outdoor garden basically on autopilot now I’m excited to get all this side work done and bring in some :heavy_dollar_sign::money_bag::heavy_dollar_sign: Cha-Ching-A-Ling-A-Ding-Dong

Sorry to ramble on (hardly anybody reads this :poop: anyway) I just want to stay up till 4:00 a.m. and take a gummy in the hopes that I can sleep till 10:00 am or noon

Looks like nice weather today and rain Thursday and Friday nice Saturday and Sunday then rain most of next week. That just about guarantees autopilot for 2 weeks on the garden :victory_hand: time to find a movie, eat a gummy and hit the sack. Peace to all my grow buds :peace_symbol:

This is a long post however, it’s a good read. You just might learn something.

took the gummy at 4:00 a.m. knowing I was severely ready for bed. It didn’t knock me out as it hadn’t kicked in when I fell asleep at 4:30 am

This was my Day 1 THC Gummy Test

Let me start by saying I’m a firm believer that sleep is an incredibly important factor if not one the most important of your bodies development both physically and mentally. Let’s just say if you can get 8 hours sleep per day everyday you’ve probably addressed one of the main factors required in your life to live healthier.

My neurologist told me the healthiest brain wakes up without an alarm clock everyday at the same time within 15 minutes -/+ repetitively/consistently.

My body does that. I go to bed between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. I wake up between 11:45 and 12:00 every night (that’s 3 of my 8 hours needed)

I then go back to sleep at 3:00 a.m. and normally wake up at 6:00 a.m.- 6:30 a.m.
(that’s 3 more hours of sleep).

During the summer 80% of the time I’ll take a nap around 2:00 p.m. and get up at 4:00 p.m. (2 more hours of sleep)

My neurologist said if taking the midday nap I’ll meet the requirement of the very important factor of getting 8 hours sleep in a 24-hour period. And the the fact that this is a repetitive continuous cycle every single day it’s even more healthier.

Now we come to the good part, (me trying to manipulate shit)

This sleeping pattern although very healthy does not fit my lifestyle whatsoever as being retired with health conditions as it’s not enough night time sleep and fatigue sets in all through the day and fatigue sucks.

If you notice from reading my schedule above I’m up all hours of the night and I’m most of the day therefore people think I never sleep
When in fact I get between 6 and 8 hours every day they’re just in small spurts.

My neurologist told me your brain needs to be up and needs to reset with a good balance and your brain will picks the times not you. Drinking alcohol, taking sleeping pills, ect is normally consumed to manipulate this as you as a person want more sleep. The brain doesn’t like when you do that and you’re sleeping pattern should not be manipulated. (As per my neurologist)

Any fellow Teamster, or overnight worker out there knows sometimes in life our job gives us different starting times throughout the season some days you work nights some days you work days and your brain for the most part will adjust to new time factors (for some people better than others)

Most of you know me know that I always elaborate and detail my topics to make you more informed of the topic. For this I’m sorry for the long post.

The moral to this story
I’m trying to be that go to sleep at 10:00 p.m. and wake up at 7:00 a.m. person and no matter how hard I try I can’t break my sleeping pattern.

My general doctor has always told me cannabis is a safe easy effective way to adjust your sleep. Although I believe this to be true my physical lung condition will not allow me to smoke marijuana. A lot of people have told me even on this forum I should try gummies. Well last night was test number one

It cost me $25 for a bottle of 10 gummies that are 10 mg each. Being a very low tolerant cannabis consumer I start my first dose with a 5 mg gummy.

I figured I would take this at 8:45 p.m. and try to go to sleep before they kick in and see if it allows me to sleep through that 12:00 a.m. wake up that my brain does every single night. Unfortunately, I forgot to take the gummy at 8:45 so when I woke up at midnight and went to bed at 4:00 I took the gummy at 4:00 a.m. (that doesn’t mess up the test)

Results
By 4:30 a.m. I was fast asleep long before the gummy had kicked in I’m sure. I woke back up at 5:00 a.m. (I normally don’t do that) and I was high as shit so high that I couldn’t get up and look at my phone to see the time. I’ve reached for my remote control to the TV saw that it was 5:00 a.m. and right back to sleep

I then woke up at 6:30 am slightly felt buzzed but definitely incoherent so to speak I just wasn’t ready to get up. I fell back asleep and woke up at 10:00 a.m. feeling slightly cloudy upstairs in my brain. After brushing my teeth washing my face and getting a cup of coffee I was back to 100%

What does this tell me
I have no Fuk’in clue🄳

However, if you find this topic interesting follow along and we’ll see if THC gummies can assist me or make matters worse.

I just wanted to follow up what we discussed about the baby ant issue I’m having in the 2x2 cucumber bed. As I said the ants calling me is nowhere to be found and I’ve tried to trace where they’re going there’s just so many and they’re all over the place so no luck with finding the source of the colony

Nevertheless, it’s my understanding that you said one part baking soda one part powdered sugar mixed well placed around the colony will take care of the issue. I’m assuming since I can’t identify the colony that simply doing the baking soda powder sugar mixture and just sprinkling it around the cucumber bed should be sufficient for treatment?

@Lostgirl In the forum chat of: Recommendations for what seeds to buy - #32 by Not2SureYet There are some of us that are talking exactly about this. I’d like to ask if you might be willing to try a different gummy? The one that I personally can vouch for is made by the company FROOT. It’s called MY SLEEP. They are only $15 a box, there are 20 of the 5mg gummies in there. Start with one, up it to two if needed. They contain 5mg of THC, 2mg of CBN, and 2mg of phytomelatonin. What I can really say is that they just work. I had probably tried 15 or more brands before these and these just really hit the sweet spot. Not groggy, keeps you asleep until you have to use the restroom (getting older), get up and go, back asleep in less than 5 minutes, and not groggy in the morning at all. Just refreshed. Hope this might help you.

You got to be very careful where you get gummies from. Even at dispensaries. I went to a very high-end respected dispensary and got what they thought were the best quality overall in gummies at their facility.

Since last night was only the first night of the test I’ll definitely utilizing these in different strengths to see if I can get full night straight sleep rather than 2 hours here 2 hours there.

It’s truly not about falling asleep. It’s about staying asleep. As a matter of fact, I’m sure I’ll fall asleep each night long before the gummies even kick in

I agree. My wife and I have been using these for over 2 years and have cousins and friends that have been using them for well over a year now. In my opinion, these are probably the best ones that I have tried for staying asleep and not having aftereffects. YMMV. They kick in at about the 30 minute to 45 minute time frame and then it is really soothing to the mind and body. Just trying to help a fellow sleep deprived person out. Good luck.

I’ve got another hour before I actually turn it for bed. I have absolutely nothing to do the rest of the evening and I’m honestly just kicking back watching TV. I’ll take my second dose of 5 mg and see what the night brings me

Day #2 w/5mg Gummy
I’ll cut straight to the point. 5 mg indica more or less interrupts your sleeping more so than assist you’re sleeping for me. Tonight I’ll try 10MG

The garden this coming along very nicely. My gamble putting out small tomato seedlings so far has paid off as mother nature has not sent a windstorm in over 10 days (very rare in May) this is allowed the seedlings to strengthen your grow. I think they’ll fully survive now :victory_hand:

There’s mushrooms growing in my beds. This is usually an indication the soil has sufficient organic matter present.

The only thing I’m waiting on are about 15% of my bush beans need to pop the dirt. I’m sure 12% will and by Monday I’ll plant new and whatever doesn’t pop. Other than that it was 100% germination success throughout the garden.

Everything is happy happy happy

Hey all, just pulled some of my first harvest from my purple bell peppers and some of my first zucchini. This was all planted in pots and in the ground around 3/25/25. The peppers are a little small, but there are still 4 more on the plant. I felt like I needed to take these to open it up and allow the others to grow. I’ll put them in something for Mom’s Day BBQ this weekend along with the Zucchinis’. Hope you like the picture.

Day 3 of THC Gummies
Last night at 9:30 p.m. I took a 10 mg gummy. Keep in mind I have the lowest tolerance of THC than anybody. I’ve smoked less than 1/8 of weed total in the last 39 Years

I was incredibly tired I took the gummy and fell asleep within 5 minutes. I woke up pretty buzzed with the munchies. I’m talking the munchies that require a special trip to 7-Eleven. This occurred around 11:00pm fighting the urge to eat I laid back down. I pretty much woke up every hour on the hour all night into the wee hours in the morning.

I’ve come to the conclusion, THC gummies are not for me. However, they are absolutely fantastic for someone who can’t smoke but wants to be high. So I can see on occasions when I’d like a pot high gummies will do the Trick. As far as sleeping goes it makes matters worse for me. :victory_hand:
