I’m blooking at the HLG 300Rspec and the Spider Farmer 2000.Whats the difference between them besides 100 bucks?Is the HLG truly superior?@dbrn32 or anybody?
I cant tell you the difference, but I can tell you I own 4 HLG lights. I bought HLG because of the advice given on this forum, and I dont feel I was misinformed.

Not running HLG but have been hanging around for a while and pretty sure itll fit the bill.
Before the Light Doc makes the scene… few questions.
Grow space size?
How many plants u tryna run?
Would you be against building your own?

Yes the HLG is $100 bucks more but almost 100 watts more as well, it’s a much more powerful light, plus the piece of mind that comes with a HLG purchase and knowing they will be on top of it if you have any issues. You could save $50 by getting the HLG 260 Rspec kit and put it together yourself (very easy).

Its in 4 ×8 tent,to replace a smaller light that I am using for supplemental.I have two HLG 300Rspec already and love them,but I also have two Spider Farmer 2000,I run them side by side in both tents and can’t see that much of a difference. I am however a big HLG fan .Didn’t realize the 100 watt difference. I also have HLG 600Rspec that I haven’t hung yet because my tent is still full,so one more good light would do it for both tents I run 2 4 × 8 tents simultaneously.

Usually 3-6 plants in a 4×8,I run two tents simultaneously and I think I could put a kit together. The 260Rspec from HLG looks like what I need Thdnks for the help!

I just assembled my new HLG 260 today , mine actually pulls 282 watts from the wall . The vipar i had was pulling 320 & when i powered up the HLG it was like the vipar was a little flashlight . No comparison . I’ll be buying another HLG in the near future !

If you go with 260 kit I would make sure to get the 260 xl version for your space.

I didn’t get the XL version as i’m in a 3X3 . But i ordered early Wednesday morning and UPS delivered it Thursday evening from their warehouse in Tennessee. Super fast !
