So ive seen alot of conflicting info on this subject. Toward the end of flower ill start to get some fox tailing going on if i keep the light high, between 800 to 1000 ppfd. Im not paticularly a fan of foxtailing myself. My question for some of the experienced guys is what ppfd are you running through flower. Be nice to have some solid info on the whole cycle but speciifically interested in the end weeks. Thanks a bunch!!
Good question….I’m interested to see what others say
I don’t have a light meter but if I start to see foxtailing I turn the dial down as well. I also turn down the intensity towards the end of the grow to mimic the sun. No lab results to see if this affects potency but I usually get some really nice coloring this way.
I run fairly high, up to 1100 in late veg into flower. I just backed them down to 800 and cut nitrogen back for finish and ripening. They are 7 weeks in true flower, a week or so will finish them.
So what is in the pic thats goi g right now is ilgm superskunk. Its a 63 day. Im getting toward the end as we speak where the foxtaili happens. I just dont like having to cut the foxtails off the buds cause they dont look as good that way vut i would also like to maximize yield. Im doing 2 feeds of advanced nutrients overdrive with molasses in between feeds and then going to flush. Should put me right at their end i would imagine. Any suggestions on what to do to maximize yield at the end? For this grow or future one.
The end result is a reflection of their beginning. Start them right, give them the best of environmental conditions, feed them good nutes at right EC and ph. That’s the formula for good yields, all else depends on genetics.
