Is 6500k too much for seedlings?
6500k is the spectrum. It’s not an indication of intensity.
But, 6500k is fine for seedlings.

Bc I feel like these little girls might be growing a little slow. @Drinkslinger! And maybe this strain just doesn’t like the FFOF, but the tips are slightly burnt I am pretty confident they will rebound though. Just making sure I am setting up my seedling room up correctly. Some seeds are slow to start.
For sure ffof can be hot for seedlings. I usually start in some organic seedling mixture before throwing them into the ocean forest.

@Drinkslinger the tall ones are 5 weeks from seed to that stage and I topped them today. Do you think they have been stunted. I know hydroponic will increase growth, but the ones I have in hydro are like bushes compared to those. Is it a lot slower then hydro?
What kind of light is that, 4 bulb t8?
Looks like you topped the tall ones? That’ll slow them down for sure.
@dbrn32 led t5, it is what I use for growing my microgreens, so I figured it was good for cannabis seedlings. It is 3 of them daisy chained together. I was thinking about putting one or two more.

@Drinkslinger yeah I just topped them today. I wanted to do it before I put them in their forever pot. Didnt want to stress them out that much all at once. They have responded to that light very good. They looked the same in the beginning as well but rebounded nice. I will be putting them in 7 gal smart pots. How does that sound?

Sounds great. 7 gal fabric pots are my go to.
What light are you using next?
I put them in my veg tent that has a 1500 watt bestva and 1500watt cob light. Then they go into my flower tent that has two 260 hlg. @Drinkslinger

So the typical 4’ t5ho bulb is 54 watts about 95 lumens per watt. You have 3 20 watt strips running about 100 lumens per watt. They look close enough but you still may be a little weak on light. That could stunt growth a little.
@dbrn32 how many more of these strips should I put up?? I have plenty and I can fit 4 or 5 more on the shelf. Thanks for all the advice.

My late night drunken math says 5 would be about the equivalent to a 2 bulb t5. I would try that.
Do you plan to eventually move them under a bigger light?

That should work. If you don’t get results you’re looking for I would move them on out.
