New Grow. I have my newly sprouted seedling under 2 CFL lights at 3200 lumens together. They lights from my seedling are about 1 or 1/2". I also have to 65 watt GE blue Grow lights. Should I put one or two of those Grow lights in action or more CFLs??
Permafrost is awesome kick ass strain you’ll like it, first time I had it it mailed and was worth every bit of it
I would wait a little longer before putting more light on her she’s still small
What are your thought on that @Majiktoker
I know. I smoked it and I was hooked. I just had to grow this strain. Do you have any opinions on my set up? I want the best yield possible from this strain. I lucked up and found a seed or two…and 1 of two sprouted!!!
Also thanks for the the name correction. Siri does not yet understand my weed terminology lol.
My pleasure yes I have a few from what i can notice reading your starting post and looking at pictures.
You should try to find 100 watt cfls (60 true warts) and run probably 6-8 depending on how big your space is also id male sure the cfls are 5500-6500 Kelvin, your using a spectrum that’s more thought of in the transition of flower. Also when you can add a small fan in there to get her some ventilation.
And my pleasure I knew the name when I seen it, and same here that was my exact thought on it
I have a small fan right now that I can put into motion. I have a bunch of 23 watts lying around in my home…however would my 65 watt Grow light be a good substitute for the lack of CFLs? I have two that are not in use and they admit high levels of blue light. Which from my research the plant thrives off that during the veggie state, correct?
Correct use the higher power lights you need 25-35 Watts per sq ft and put in motion when you can its a positive stressor
Excellent. Thank you. It’s a huge relief to put my knowledge to use and to spew it out finally. Lol. I am putting those suggestions in place.
My pleasure, that’s what im here for
So just to be clear, should I remove my 2 CFLs which are at noted at 5000k each and place my 65 watt blue Grow light or add my 65 watt Grow light in addition with the CFLs?
Add in addition with the 65 watt lights
If the “grow light” you’re talking about is one of those big, blue light bulbs, it is WORTHLESS.
Is it one of these?
Seriously, it’s not even worth plugging in. You’ll be MUCH better off with the CFLs, the numbers/formulas @Majiktoker is talking about don’t apply to incandescent bulbs.
(I learned the hard way, before I found this site, I bought TWO of 'em!)
@kushpa stated a very great point, stay away from incandescent lights they don’t work worth the crap and will not work for your plants you’ll waste more time and money on the out come, and stay away from lights like the one in the link @Queen_Green
Thanks for saving my ass and my money. I will just stick with the the CFLs which is what I have been leaning towards anyways.
Atleast get 6 cfls you should be fine till she gets bigger
Yay starting to look better my friend lol
