I See we are about the same age! And looks like you have been growing for awhile. Question. I See lights that you can have the different spectrums for different stages of growing, white, red and blue. Are these light any better? Do they help product a better yield? And if so which like would be the one to go with?
yes these will make a difference but only if your game is on point…otherwise a general light you listed is best for getting to understand your setup and grow
Great information. I planned on ordering another one today. You just confirmed for me that I should. I also want to give the plants I started from seed the best chance for success. I have two clones someone gave me, and also have sprouted 2 Godfather OG and 2 Purple Kush seeds. So starting out there will be 6 plant in total for the first grown. Also have two of each seed sprouted for use as mother plants. I like to know if I should go in a different direction with the lights I should be using? Being you have grown for awhile , you might be able to point me in the right direction on light to use.
I am suspicious of this light. It might be just fine but there is next to nothing on their own website about location of the company, no reviews on youtube that I can find or reviews on any reputable websites. It seems like a brand new startup. Lots of counterfeit lm301b diodes are out there. Like I said it may be legit, but not much history to back it up.
Welcome to the forum!
I would suggest that you return the Amazon lights. Using two HLG 350Rs would give a better light spread in the 3x6, and is the best spectrum for all around use. You should probably use three of the Amazon lights in order to get a good spread in a 3x6. Of course you can give the two lights that you have a try. You may end up with some fluffy bud development in the corners.
You might as well use what u have like @Retiredoldguy said. More than likely, once you get the ‘itch’ to keep this as your new addictive hobby, you will keep adding to your arsenal of supplies. We all start out the same way. I have 3 tents in use and 2 extra cheapies that were bought first.
I hope to be on point. I am sure i will make mistakes. But all ready have a great head start with resource here. Your answers so far have helped to keep me on point. Second part of my question and I wanted to ask. I have chosen two soils to try. First one is fox farm Ocean and nectar of the gods. Then which fertilizers for best results . I have purchased fox farm dirty dozen to try first. My son said they we should be using Giai fertilizers?
If you are starting from scratch? I think you can learn from my mistakes, and these products will give you a trouble free grow with very little stress.
Lighting from HLG
Soil - Root Original
Containers - fabric bags
Nutrients - Jacks 321
Fans & other accessories - AC Infinity
This and a good water source will have you growing like a pro in no time.
By the way, I have grown in soil, coco, and hydro using nutrients from full organics to full synthetic.
Just any unscented will work. Just look at the ingredients on the bag/box and it should only say Magnesium Sulfate USP. Nothing else. I use Walmart brand and I use jacks
Basically if its safe for humans as a laxative its perfect for plants. Agricultural grade is actually a lesser quality.
