Does anyone have any experience with these types of lights?

I was told these types of lights would not be very good on one of these forums, that it would not be very good for the flowering phase, but I never received a response to my reply. So, I am posting a new forum. The lights change colors for the flowering phase, they are LED’s they should be fine. These are extras and I cannot hang a light. If anyone has any experiences with these please let me know and if anyone has any ideas on how I could upgrade reasonably if this is a problem, such advice is always appreciated as well.

They won’t get you very far. You want 150w true watts for LED’s. Something with Samsung diodes. HLG, Spider Farmer, Mars Hydro, all these companies make quality lights, price ranges vary by brand. I don’t have experience with them, but I know your plants won’t produce good buds under them. You need a lot more power, and much brighter diodes.

I meant 150w per plant.

What about these? I need something on a stand.

you can make a stand out of pvc pipe if unable to hang a light

Yeah, a stand would be a more convenient solution. Unfortunately, I am on a budget. And building one of those along with replacing all of the lights is just too much for now. The one with the stand says 200w LED, do you think that would work?

i am not sure but @dbrn32 would know if that will be good enough, but save up for good lights because it makes the difference.

Save your money. It’s junk.

U need good led’s with 30 at min to 40 watts per sq foot. Then you will have good lighting. Sorry to sound rude if this does i dont mean it, but using those lights is pointless. U may get away with it for seedling stage at the very least.

So I bit the bullet, and hit the bare minimum with what I could handle to the point where I am just going to have to sit tight through some returns and return the other lights with the new setup that I am putting up, which is alot nicer, according to reviews.

It should be alot better I think

Two of those lights will only give you 170 watts. Make sure you pay attention to the description of how many watts the light actually outs out. Lots of false advertising with the foreign/cheap lights.

Get a metal storage rack from Home Depot. Don’t install middle racks. It works great.

Problem isn’t with l8ght spectrum it’s with the low amount of light intensity. Cancel the order on the array to hold lights as it’s not going to increase the light intensity.

Grow lights are kinda like engines in that there’s no replacement for displacement lol. In short, you won’t have very successful grows of 4-5 plants with anything purchased on Amazon for $40-50. If you go and look around at people having producive grows of 4 or more plants with led lights, they likely have several hundred dollars wrapped up into lighting. And a lot of those are middle of the road setups.

:point_up_2:I agree with this 100%. I started off with a VS2000 light on four autos. It wasn’t near enough for them so I got a 350w led. Your light will be the single most important piece of equipment you buy. If you don’t have at a bare minimum 30w/sq ft you won’t like the results. If you can’t get a light that does that right now can you grow outdoors?

IMO, you would be much better off saving up for a light. Look into HLG. They have a great light with minor assembly for around $300.

There were people who left reviews with decent looking plants I thought. I already have too much money into it. I have a hydro setup with a bit more expensive lights. But, I do not know if they are better. Those seem fine to me.

I mean I feel like no matter the answer anyone gives, you are set with what you want!

Yeah, well, I think this looks decent enough.

If these are photoperiod veg for a month and flip :man_shrugging: It will give you something even if it’s not huge it will give you the experience of caring for them! If autos let them do their thing place them throughout your house where the sun shines. I wouldn’t just kill them :face_with_peeking_eye::face_with_peeking_eye::face_with_peeking_eye:

I wouldn’t waste your time if you are ‘on a budget’. You need proper lights. You could possibly use those lights to keep them in veg until you can buy real lights for flowering.
