I have seen people use landscaping stakes to hold down branches. Or some use plant wire or similiar & tie down around top edge of the pot. You would have to drill holes for that. Plant is looking good and healthy.
Happy growing to you!

Is she an outdoor grow full time? Are you in an area where it’s Summer? One topping this late in the seasons will be perfectly fine being as that will bush her up plenty and the sun moves across the sky penetrating her canopy from different angles. If she’s a photo plant the daylight winding down will put her into flower soon and you don’t want to stress her during that transition. I’d put a tomato cage over her and/or spread her out with some lst as the side branches elongate.

I’ve done single toppings and multiple toppings outdoors and I’ve found after they lose their alpha center stalk they naturally bush out while they’re still growing nodes paired laterally. They don’t seem to respond quite as well to toppings after they are sexually mature and have staggered nodes. Imho and moderate experience. Good luck

Regarding the LST and it popping back up.

I use a combination of chop sticks (big bundle on Amazon cheap) and “long” pipe cleaners (again amazon)

The chop sticks work well to push down a branch or push a fan leaf out of the way. I also use the pipe cleaners an tie to a chop stick as an anchor.

What I like is I can come back the next day and move them quick and easy or add more. After a while they can be removed once trained.

Not sure if this addresses part of your concern or if you meant the “new growth” pops up?

If you have access to these office type clips you can skip drilling holes when fastening down your btanches when spreading her open.
