I want to try his twisting deal. Only I am sure I would twist an arm off
I am syre it is a lot harder than he makes it out to be
It’s relatively easy if you go slowly… ![]()
Here’s more details on how to do it:

Thanks @kaptain3d I book marked it. It is looking like one of these 2 I though were not going to make it will. If so. I will move it to the closet and give this a shot since it will essentially be a free plant then ![]()
You are a bunch of cruel dudes; torturing your helpless plants ![]()
Yep, the ones I have accidentally broke. All seem to grow the largest ![]()
Morning all. Or afternoon now lol. I am doing this update a day early. I am really liking how this grow is starting. There will be a lot crammed in here today
First. I better grab some coffee
Ok, lets begin. I will start off with the 2 plants I gave up for dead. I pulled this Rainbow road out of the grow a week ago and just left it sitting in a tray on the floor about 4 feet from the grow. I planned on pulling this one and using the final pot for the replacement seed I dropped. The only light it got was the bleed over from the grow. This is what it looked like before I moved it. This was at 2 weeks old
This is it today, week 3
Then we have the BadAzz Cookies OG. It was similar. I was letting it go also and dropped another seed to replace it. It decided it was not ready to give up as well. I only left it in the grow thinking I would swipe it’s final pot for the new seed. Now I need to fill two more 1 gallon pots for the new seeds. And this grow just increased by 2 plants.
This is the cookies at week 2
And today at week 3
So some thing is going right lol
Here are the replacements. They will both be a week old tomorrow. They are off to a great start.
The rest I will do in groups. Here are both autos, for week 3. I decided I am just going to bottom feed every one
And here are the 1 gallon photos. I am keeping an eye on every one right now. Thinking it may be one more week before I start chopping arms off
For the mainlines.
I put the new kids and the first Rainbow in the closet. I need to fill 2 pots for the new ones. And then put them in here till they are established. Then they will go in the grow. And the first Rainbow and the Cookies will get finished in here on coco mats. The closet here is about 32" x 22" I am using a 135 R spec in here.
And I guess this is it for another week. ![]()
I won’t have to worry abt the plants getting wet feet anymore with the Blumat system. Once it’s fine tuned I can set it and forget it for the most part. ![]()

It is nice to see you here too @Big123
I know this is early. But this latest Rainbow Road seed I dropped is going crazy. If you scroll up the the picture above. You can see this as of last week at a week old. Today this is 10 days old. It is in a final pot and sitting in her permanent feed tray.
This is it next to the smallest 3 week old plant
I see a promising future for this one ![]()
Morning all. Man it seems like the weeks are starting to pass faster and faster. It is time for another up date though
@MeEasy @Blackmoon
I will keep this one simple. I am hoping one more week and I can start training the autos.
Strawberry Pie on the left. Night Owl on the right. Both autos
I tied these down a bit. It is hard to tell though. Strawberry Pie
Night Owl
The photos are doing good. Some really small tight nodes. I may be able to top a few of these next week. I want a few clones from a couple of these. There is no rush, just letting them do there own thing this grow. ![]()
It is the ones growing with the small branching holding things up.
Over all. I can’t complain. They are liking the warmer weather more than I do ![]()
Thanks for the tag buddy
they look super happy n healthy, pretty work Sir
Thanks @MeEasy
Man, it is like Arizona hot here. It was 93 out side an hour ago. Not sure what it is now. But it is 91 inside and 93 in the grow room
I started the day early and got a few clones cut. These are not like my normal ones. I didn’t have long branches to start with. I saved those for the grow. So basically. I took the tops for the clones.
Should I also trim the larger fan leaves of the C&C. I see I missed that one.
It’s been chilly here for the past couple days but it’s supposed to get near a hundred the next few days
I’m probably not the right person to ask about clones since I have never purposely done one. I believe @OGIncognito @StonedCold13 @JJ520 @Storm are cloners
Here’s some info you may find interesting My Brother.

Trimming the leaves when cloning cannabis is
not strictly necessary, but it is a highly recommended best practice. While some growers skip this step with success, trimming generally helps reduce stress on the cutting and prevents issues in the cloning tray.
Here is a breakdown of why, when, and how to trim leaves for clones based on expert practices:
Reasons to Trim Leaves (Leaf Tips)
Reduce Transpiration: Leaves transpire water. Because the clone has no roots to absorb water, minimizing the leaf surface area reduces the strain on the stem to supply water to the leaves, preventing wilting.
Prevent Mold: Large leaves can sit in stagnant, humid air, which often leads to mold or mildew.
Manage Space: Trimming prevents leaves from overcrowding the tray, allowing more clones to be placed in a smaller area without touching.
Prevent Overlapping: It stops lower leaves from burying themselves in the rooting plug, which can lead to rot.
Best Practices for Trimming Clones
Remove Lower Leaves: Remove the lowest set of leaves entirely to expose the node that will go into the rooting medium (plug/soil).
Trim Tips Only: Instead of removing whole leaves, trim the top 50–60% of the remaining fan leaf “fingers”. This keeps the node intact while limiting moisture loss.
Don’t Cut Too Much: Over-trimming can reduce the clone’s ability to create energy via photosynthesis, which is needed to produce roots.
Cleanliness: Always use sterilized scissors to avoid introducing pathogens into the cutting site.
When You Might Not Need to Trim
If you are taking large cuttings and have a high-humidity dome, you may not need to trim as heavily, as the high moisture environment prevents the leaves from drying out. However, the general consensus is that trimming is safer for ensuring a high success rate.
Thanks for the tag old friend. @Not2SureYet i trim about a 1/3 of the leaves on the cuttings I take. Dug up a few older pics ![]()

My only difference is I cut back at least half of every leaf showing.
Even new growth tip if it’s accessible ![]()

My understanding is your slowing down the photosynthesis of the cutting and giving time for the hormones to kick in and start roots before she eats herself up.
Clip the large fans halfway down the leaves.. 18./6 for 14 days at least before a flip. Remember, the clones are same maturity as the mother. If go 12/12 they will flip immediatly. Not too much water. We want lotsa roots. Make them reach for it. They will eat the fans. Dont stress it. As long as green and healthy NEW growth you are Gucci. Just my 2 cents.
If ANY good new green, even a branch or 2 only, they live.
Thanks guys. I have always just clipped the tips. I was curios about the larger fan leaves here. I chopped them off last night. I was surprised to what I woke up to. Once the lights go off. The humidity in the box really goes up. I have this sitting on a heat mat. And with the wet bags. I go from almost no humidity to lots
Normally I lift the lid a bit and run the fan to let them breath. I think I will wait till I see the humidity drop in here before doing that. I appreciate all the help. I mostly work off of seeds. I use clone x for my clones. And soak the bags with jacks. The plan is to run these in my tent I dry in. So I can keep them in veg while the others are in flower. I may have to make clones from these a few times. I will not be ready to use them till the next grow. So still close to 4 months away. I am keeping the CBD ones and the other 2 will be for a friend here if these all make it ![]()
