Thanks Kap. I will check that out in the morning. I am just here for a quick update. It was 95 almost all day. Finally down to 84 in here now. I will get up early to trim every one on the back sides. It is also supposed to be a little cooler tomorrow. :slightly_smiling_face:

Well, I got in and got a few pictures. I also trimmed up 2 little ones. I will go for more after it cools down some tonight. As a start though. Here are the clones. 3 days old and not looking much different

This is the little fan I use to blow into the box. A little USB guy.

The autos are starting to get bushy. I am wondering if I should strip them down a little more. This is the Strawberry Pie at 4 weeks old

And the Night owl at 5 weeks old

This is a over all of the photos before I attacked 2 of them

This is the Cream & Cheese CBD. It is only 4 weeks old Before

After

And the Money Bush at 5 weeks old Before

After

A little difference now

These are growing some nice roots

And I guess that is it till tonight. I will start on the back then. The front will have to wait till right before I flip since they are the youngest

Well, this will be a fast up date. I changed the lights this morning. We are now on a 12/12

I gave the clones to my friend yesterday. I was growing 3 for her but gave her all 4. I will get enough of one strain to keep me happy for a long time. Any ways. Also. I just noticed my DYI light is not working. @Myfriendis410 @dbrn32 Any thoughts as to if it may just be the driver. I have a lot of miles on this light. I had the almost new HLG 260 sitting around. So I now have it over the photos.

Here are both autos. The one on the right. The Night owl finished what I am calling week 1 of flower

And here are the photos

Do you have a multimeter?

I’m assuming you checked all the connections and if any wiring was damaged. If not, make sure all connections are secure and you don’t have any insulation damaged. If you have any voltage going to ground the driver will cut thr output for protection.

Thanks @dbrn32 I did check the connections. How would I check the voltage to ground. I am only good with 12v  And I have a few multi meters. When I went in. the temp for the driver was the same as the other. This did seem like it had a hot smell to it. I checked it cold this morning and still no light. I can grab another driver cheap if I need. I still have plenty of extra lights. SO I am not in a rush here. I did like that light though. I think I used it to death  over 7 years worth.

You can check dc volts at the board connections while hooked up and powered on. Should be within range of driver nameplate. If below it could be leaking to ground or in driver protect mode. If there’s no voltage or very little ghost voltage while connected between dc+ and dc- i would say the driver is probably cooked. But i would then power down and disconnect boards to do a resistance check on them. I have no idea what the resistance should be but there should be some. No resistance would indicate the trace on board is open. I would suspect at least a small amount of visual evidence if that happened though.

Thanks @dbrn32 DO you think I should get another driver or just call the board finished? I have been using it non stop for 6 1/2 years. No lights out in any of the boards.

I see I am way behind again. I missed the last up date but have the next coming up tomorrow or friday. SO I will wait till then to do a full up date. I have these little ones here I am starting for a friend for her out door grow. The oldest in here is a week old. I am going to give them about a week more before passing them along. They should be nice sized by then.
I hope you all are having a great day

I was going to add to this but see I am to late lol I went in and super cropped a few branches. To see if I could drop the light a bit for the smaller plants.

Probably not a bad idea to just away from it. You may not have any leds out but you’re about at the expected service life and I’m sure the led performance has degraded.

@dbrn32 What’s the average lifespan of HLG’s 5 years? Mine are going year round but only maxed a few weeks each grow. The Diablo X doesn’t go over 90% because I get bleaching @ 100%

The leds on the boards are rated for 50,000 hours and you can expect a ~20% loss in efficacy over that time frame.

The temperature of the led will impact that either way. So running hard, in high ambient temp or number of other factors could increase the performance/life loss but running at reduced power or in otherwise less harsh environment could go the other way too.

I appreciate that information My Brother! And I hope you have a stellar day! :folded_hands::victory_hand::love_you_gesture:

You as well my friend!

Thanks, This would be mine. My grow room normally has a low of 80 and highs into the 90s. Sucks as I liked that board. It still did good for me. Maybe because I was in a scrog most of the time so it didn’t have to penetrate as low  I will just put it aside for now. The grow is moving along quick now. The branches all turned upwards a couple hours later. I have a few more to do now.

Remind me, it’s a hlg 288 v2 board? I could probably find a small driver that’s not terribly expensive to use as starter/clone light.

@dbrn32 Honestly. I don’t remember. These are the ones you ordered a bunch of. Then @Myfriendis410 and I got some of the boards. If I don’t keep this a a full light like it is. I am good. I have 2 good starter lights and 3 of the HLG 135 lights sitting on a shelf. Thank you though.

While I am here. I will do a quick up date. I am just doing group shots right now. Till these are farther in flower and I can do a bit more trimming on them. The grow is not going as I was hoping. But I am getting lots of pictures. And learning a little more. I will just keep this thread here as an on going one. No more starting new threads for a while lol
Once I get farhter into flower. I can get a refresher as to how the buds will grow. Right now. Where I thought they would be crawling up the branches. A lot have new branches shooting out  Maybe I need to show them a picture of what I want
I can’t complain to much. Other than that. Things are going good in here. Sooo

Here are the autos

And the Photos

The Cream and Cheese CBD, front left is a week younger than the others. Ans twice as big.

These are some photos I am starting for a friend. I will give them another week then pass them on

I hope every one is having a great friday so far.

Gotcha! Are you running 4 boards on 1 driver?

I don’t remember exactly how your light was configured but they’re 24 volt boards and as long as the female dc barrel connector is still intact there was a single board plug and play option available. I think it was meanwell owa-60u-24.

I had the barrel connectors soldered on so that I could send the components to smokingranny and she could assemble without any tools or risk of failure. Its basically the same as plugging in a laptop charger.

I forgot we did that. (me holding your lights)

Yes! That driver is currently almost $100 and the light probably isn’t worth it unless you really needed it. But individually the boards would run 60 watt driver i posted earlier.
