Grow #8 - 3 Autos in a 3x3 Tent

@Spudgunner @VaHillbilly @Pinboy @MidwestGuy @TransplantedFarmgirl @JustNikki @CC_Mo @Audiofreak @Bentstick @beardless

Here we go again. Trying to get 2 months of growing on these 3 autos before I plunk a photoperiod in the tent for the winter. GSC, Sour Diesel and Planet of the Grapes. I hope the weak looking one unfolds and makes it.

Looks like a good start! What photo are you running this winter or have you decided yet?

Haven’t totally decided but thinking a 10 gal pot with a sativa dominant strains for my sativa friends. Probably the Green Apple Candy since that’s the only sativa photo I have!

Here are my photoperiod choices:

I think I need some help and advice.

I think I damaged the emerging seedling cotyledon on one side and it looks like the flap will not open. I may have broken that flap . I’ve save a lot of lost cause seedlings but never one that required the skill of a surgeon.

It’s looked like this for about 18 hours. Won’t open and when I gently pry it open, the front flap (cotyledon) just closes back on it’s own. At least it is standing up right. 24 hours ago it looked even worse.

What would you suggest I do?

This is what it looked like when I pulled the helmet off yesterday morning. Looked like death warmed over.

I’d spray it with a bit of water and let it sit, see if it opens up on its own as she grows. If you’ve damaged her a bit, that time may allow her to heal a bit before you try to force her open again.
In Canada, we got rid of pennies, everything is rounded to the nearest nickel…so my 2 cents ain’t worth shit!  :upside_down_face:

Have had the same thing, wet it and with a toothpick I picked the membrane off.

So is that the membrane left on at the top? If so, man it’s hard to see.

Toothpick is a great idea if the membrane is still on.

Yes it is almost translucent, Happy Versery by way :beers:

Ok, so I grabbed a sharp toothpick but found there was no membrane at all on these cotyledons that won’t open.

But I still used it to gently pry it open and force them to lay flat.

The tiny little leaves are touching together and vertical and they look sort of dry (re: dead?) Or is that just one left and the left one is missing? Not sure I can say for certain.

Thanks for your help but the root may be dead. Maybe she’ll make it and maybe she won’t. Will just have to wait to see.

Here is an updated photo after the surgery.

Give it a mist, she should recover and become a strong one! Or she’ll die. But never give up, everything that breaks ground deserves a chance!

Happy anniversary! Let her do her thing these weeds are very resilient and she will probably be stubborn and give up and take off. Good luck

Looks like she’s dead. Oh well.

Time to soak another seed.

Haha, signs of life from the seedling I just declared dead.

Unfortunately, the new seed I soaked and planted is coming in the same container.

Lots of time to decide to split them up or other ways

I’ve had some seeds do some crazy things. This weed sure is a resilient one for sure. Good luck on your grow.
