Is this Purple Kush Auto soon to be ready

I thought I was supposed to wait until about 1/2 the trichomes turn AMBER and thus figured I have plenty of time. Now Read in some other threads that is more or less cloudy and not amber.
This was my first plant to live through the onslaught of my heavy handed newbiness, was planted on 3/30 and many mistakes followed since then.

@Iamme you got a jewelers loop or a scope to study your trichs? Those images would really help us help you decide. 50% amber seems excessively high. What sort of buzz do you prefer?

No loupe but I do have a DSLR that I can get much better focused and closer.
Unfortunately I’ve lost the light here and tomorrow is all rain, I’ll get it done on Friday.
As far as the high goes, I don’t like that real heady high with paranoia and all, More into a relaxed state of mind but not asleep.

@Iamme anxious is from chopping too early. Those will be clear trichs. Cloudy trichs is a euphoric high. After 10-20% Amber you start leaning heavily into couchlock.

Thanks for that clarification, I think I had it mixed up in my head.
So too avoid the couch lock I’d probably want to harvest right when the amber starts to appear and before it gets even close10% amber.

Exactly right. For the most potent high, all cloudy, with a touch of amber. And be sure you look at the buds, not the sugar leaves. The sugar leaves mature way earlier.

Thank you much for the help, I’ll post better pics here tomorrow for confirmation of what I’m seeing.
Thanks again.

I was able to grab a shot in between the clouds, does this help any in determining at what stage this plant is at.
This is typical throughout the plant.
To me and my chicken it looks to be the trichomes are almost all cloudy.

As I look through other peoples pictures of trikes, I see that they are under much more magnification than the above pictures aren’t any good either.
I went ahead and ordered a digital microscope off of the amazon, will be here sat and I’ll try again then.

I got the electronic microscope and mounted it to my tripod via electrical tape, these are the pics of trichomes I got.

upon closer inspection I’m going to say…well, nothing. I’ll leave to the peeps who know what they’re talking about.
What say you, I hope the pics are better and helpful enough for you to determine.

@Iamme 1st pic is nice and cloudy, 3rd pic is looking mostly clear and the others are leaves and not where you want to focus in on. Keep trying. Can you zoom in tighter?

Yes, I’ll try and hopefully get better pics tomorrow.

Okay here a 5 pics, these are taken from bud sites in top, middle and bottom of the plant.
I hope these are good enough to see what is needed, if not I’m afraid I lack the capabilities to get any closer.
Thanks for looking.

@Iamme they seem mostly clear, beginning to turn cloudy. Almost imho.

(The purple makes it difficult to see clearly over here lol)
