Hi everybody. I’m new here but not a completely new grower. I have been indoor growing about 7 months now with a few runs under my belt. I mostly grow autoflowers but Still a newb though and always seeking advice from fellow growers. I was on microgrowery in reddit and that place is toxic lol
In a 2x2x48" mini tent under a Viparspectra P1000. About 60% intensity 22" from the seedling. Around 250 ppfd.
Medium: mostly Happy Frog soil with 3 nutrifield coco bricks I threw in there. Ph 6.2 or so going in.
Nutrients: for this I’m using fox farm trio and gh calmag.
Rh and temp is in the pic I attached. Should I just pull this and start over and go easier on feeding?
I have a prom night from walipini seeds on day 14. It seems like it is stuck in time since day 5 lol. It’s a photo. I grew this strain once before and it was fire! The plant was also very resilient and took abuse well. So I accidentally had fed this baby twice in a row. About 500-600 ppm of grow big and calmag twice in a row. Was this too much considering the soil has happy frog in it?? The first time feeding it took it great but the second time it started yelling and burning. Did I cook it with nutrients? Thanks. I’ve been reading through this forum quite a bit before I posted and it seems like a solid place! Seems much better then Reddit

Happy Frog has sufficient nutrients for about 4 weeks. The plant should not be fed until the PPM of existing nutrients reduces to < 1,000.
Your seedling should be fine. Watch it for healthy new growth and avoid overwatering. She only need a couple ml of water per day at this point. Let the soil dry out before watering again. A seedling will tolerate dry soil far better than wet soil.
Soil and coco shouldn’t be mixed. They each have differing watering and pH requirements.
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks! Yeah my buddy had some nutrifield bricks he gave me which ended up expanding to about 6 gallons of coco that I threw into my 27 gallon tote which is currently almost full so it isn’t a lot of coco. But it is too late now lol I will not do that again though.

Like @MidwestGuy said this is not a good idea. They have different watering requirements more importantly the pH is are different.
I’m not sure what three bricks amount to in percentage nevertheless, i did this once with 70% soil 30% coco and the grow was disastrous. Problem after problem after problem.
Also I believe @MidwestGuy covered that you should not be feeding your baby seedling in fresh Happy frog as it’s precharged nutrients within the soil will carry your plant virtually through veg (4 weeks) discard feeding nutrients.
Since it’s not an auto flower I would venture to say three bricks of coco to a 2.5 cubic foot bag of Happy frog is only about 10%. So I think your seedling can survive this since it’s a photo if you discontinue feeding, water properly, and keeping your environment dialed in to perfection.
I’d make sure my water was accurate for the waterings as well. That can create a whole new world of problem.
Distilled and RO water
Simply water from The jug with no pH adjustment whatsoever.
Tap water
If using tap water unless your pH straight out of the tap is exactly 6.5 you’ll need pH adjust the water to 6.5
Keep in mind tap water that doesn’t have a PPM of at least 175ppm cannot be pH’ed.
Example
If your tap water has a pH of 7.0 and the PPM of 68 you’ll need to add 107 PPM of Cal mag to bring the total PPM of your tap water to 175 PPM at that point you can pH to 6.5 and water your plant.
Practicing good watering habits and keeping that environment in check I believe your seedling will bounce back

Nailed it, we love to assist and no questions are dumb. We all crawled before we could walk so Welcome home Bro!!
The first thing I noticed is you are mixing soil and coco and they have diff pH requirements and watering practices. I would choose one and stick with that.
When watering, turn a big cup upside down to cover the baby and pour the water on the cup and let it run down the sides to create a water ring away from the stem and she will extend her roots outward toward that water ring. Watering right at the stem can damp her off and kill her. Less is more at this stage.
Good luck and keep us posted!!

Yep! definitely already learned that mixing coco and soil can cause the pH to be somewhat unstable. I already filled 10 3 gal pots with the coco soil mix I had made, then had another 2 cu ft bag of Happy frog to put back in the tote and it’s almost full again so I think it’s very minimal coco at this point. I think next run I will run straight coco in some pots and compare outcome. Thanks for reply

I am also making that change. Tomorrow I will be stocking up on 70/30 and no longer using Happy or Ocean as my media. Also threw out all my old nutes, grabbed the pH perfect trio from AN and waiting on my new TDS20.

Thanks for all the replies. I’m kind of doing some experiments with different mediums or soils. I have two Autopots running Mother Earth groundswell performance soil. I have a few 3 gal fabric pots running happy frog mostly. And I also have a few 3 gal fabric pots that have a mixture of coco and happy frog. I have 2 5 gallons in happy frog as well just to compare with 3 gal. Then I have one 3 gal pot with Back To the Roots organic premium mix(which is mostly coco, light nutrients in it)
All in all I have 13 autos and ONE photoperiod this run. This will be my biggest run yet. this will be an interesting run and I’m excited for the months ahead!!

Thanks for the detailed reply. So you do believe this seedling can come back granted I follow the above guidelines.

I’ll tag along to watch your success.

Sorry for the late reply. I believe you follow the proper watering practice and keep your environment in check she’s going to be just fine

I haven’t given up on it yet lol.
Little update: Here’s a picture of it right now. It finally is starting to show some form of new development and it looks green so perhaps she will be fine once she starts getting along.

Hey there good morning @Lostgirl . So as of today this seedling in the pot feels about as light as a loaf of bread and is pretty dried back good. Should I wait one more day?
No, if it’s light feed it
It looks better after the flush to 1000 ppm what do you think @Lostgirl

The droopiness is gone. She’ll be okay

The dropping definitely seemed to improve. So what caused it? Over watering or the heavy nitrogen in the nutrients high ppm??
Improper watering practices, overfeeding ect
