Day before yesterday i cut a piece of bud to check for trichomes and i see that some brown spots from where i cut the bud, but yesterday in night i think my ac unit failed amd temp rose to 34 celsius and humidity to 42 and in yesterday night exhaust fan got switched off, somehow i was able to repair ac unit but exhaust fan got switched on today, is there any chance of bud rot and ac unit was continously running and humidity was around 56
I’m not seeing any Mold or WPM Growmie, buds and plant look healthy and that RH of 56 is of no concern. My flower RH runs from 45-60
Looks like loads of glistening trichomes to me.
@OGIncognito @MidwestGuy thankyou for your reply, why i asked this because i saw a brown spot on the buds, so for double checking i cut a piece of bud and cut open it to check for molds, here it is
I have seen this myself. The brown area where you have the bud bent open is mold.
I am harvesting them today, what should i do now?
Hard to say if it is bud rot or just turning brown because you cut it.
Looks a little early to me.
Should i go for bud wash as recommended to me in this thread and my ac is also not running properly because of heat, so i think cutting it a bit early a good option then stressing them at high temps.
A bud wash is always a good idea.
Hard call to make. Some strains can take the high temps better but if mold/rot is really starting already, it may be best to cut your losses.
Hope it turns out good for you.
I wouldn’t. Just cut out the affected areas and toss. I tried bud wash and it totally ruins the taste. In all honesty it’s not really mold. It’s bud rot from too much moisture. There’s a difference.
