Mold or something or just wierd good issue

I have no white on top main bud and non on other side of plant, but one side area only is pretty white. It’s kind hard to see it pics, but it’s really white in these areas n not any where else on plant. Is it mold or some other issue or could trichomes just decide to stay one area of the plant??? How do I know? Just seems really strange. Top normal n bottom pics with white

This pic is better. Hard to get the light right to see how white in spots it is. Strain is Pink Kush CBD btw.

That looks like rot that is growing some kind of mold and or fungi

The last picture does not look normal. Possibly (Mold) you can always cut out an get rid of affected areas and do a bud wash with the rest of the plant. You have some really nice color going on very pretty.

You can also pull one of those white colored leaves and look under a jeweler loupe. You will know if mold or trichomes. I am leaning to mold. :pensive::pensive::pensive:

I’m really surprised if it is. So dry here. 30% Rh probably highest it’s ever been. What does mold look like under magnifier?

Mold can look like all shapes, sizes and color. During my Biochemistry days, I never saw a mold that resembles trichomes. :+1:

Rot is not always caused by moisture bugs can lay eggs inside the buds and when they hatch the babies start eating and shiting bacteria starts growing and you have bud rot. That doesn’t look normal in one pic it’s like flaking off or growing new spores out on the sugar leaves. Bud rot under a microscope will look like webs kinda like the stuff that grows on strawberries but dark

Yup it was mold. I cut it all off. I’m gonna wash in lemon n baking soda and also in hydrogen peroxide then rinse it pure water after both of those. I had a little bit of mold develop on a bud I cured once. I cut it off n washed it same way b it smelled tasted n smoked fine after. So hopefully this will work too

Sorry for your loss…you can cut out affected area and could still be OK and salvage sometimes…but for healthy use I’d be careful with that one…smoking mold is no bueno.

Happy gardening

Is there a smell or taste or side effect in the smoke that gives away if there is still mold in it?

It makes you pretty sick like a stomach bug with a cough on top

Cool. I didn’t know that. My last trim/bud wash worked for sure.
