Indoor Autos in Organic Soil with Tap Water

How much dry weight are you trying to produce every ~100 days/per plant?

That’s a powerful light…what is your PPFD for the 18/6 (we can figure out DLI with those numbers too)? You may be a little high for this stage.

What are your Day/Night temps in the tent?

RH is currently a little low…you should get that into at least the low 50s% for now by whatever method is convenient. There are charts to look up to get more specific. The RH should have been much higher in your previous weeks which may have stunted your folks a little, but they could surprise you.

@Mozzy — I left out one other detail. I have an HLG UVA Bar as well. I plan to run that 18/6, but just started yesterday.

Thank you for the AMAZING charts!! So helpful!!

Ironically, today I stared using the filter attachment for iPhone with Photone. According to that, my PPFD is roughly 250.

My day and nighttime temps are in the mid- to upper 70s.

I have a humidifier and can get the RH up.

I so appreciate your help!!!

@Mozzy — How much do I want to grow every ~100 days? As much as I can!! I reside in Minnesota. Here we can have up to 2 lbs./house. If I go over that amount I’ll give it away to family and friends.

Word.

Okay, I double checked and it looks like:
“What’s allowed if a person wants to grow cannabis at home?
Up to eight cannabis plants, with no more than four being mature, flowering plants may be grown at a single residence as long as it is at the primary residence of someone 21 or older.
Plants must be in an enclosed, locked space that is not open for public view.”

So, I would work on dialing in your environment this grow…again, proper Temp, RH, Watering, PPFD/DLI, Airflow, Drying, Curing, etc.

…I’ll give you some random (not sober) thoughts related to currently, and next:

  • I assume the GDPs are auto-fem

  • Haven’t used your soil but I’ve read lots of people who bottle feed use it.

  • You look like you’re growing in 2-2.5g of soil which is tough to keep adequately watered by hand when they get real thirsty…let alone whatever you’re juggling with what you feed/ph too. Make sure you bump up the base weight as they are flowering and growing…the root ball may be a pound or two extra “dry” weight near the end.

  • You have lots of space and good airflow which is awesome, and you won’t have RH/mold concerns in late flower which is excellent from the sound of it.

-Next grow, look into getting some decent organic soil, and 5 gallon+ SIPs, then you can just give them dechlorinated PH’d water, seed-to-harvest and make your life a whole lot easier. You’ll just have to worry about managing your ongoing environment and related details…Temp, RH, Watering, PPFD/DLI, Airflow (which can include pruning and training if necessary), Drying, Curing, etc.

Next round, start 4 in SIPs in larger amounts of decent organic soil, and then start 4 more as the first 4 get close to harvest time, and you should be able to easily get 1lb+ every ~60-90 days, by ~6mos in, if you want to.

Temps are fine, a little more RH according to the charts will help a lot (especially next grow starting sooner), your PPFD should be bumped to ~400 now, and then ~600 in a ~week if they are doing good.

Thank you for the detailed replies and 411. It’s much appreciated!

• Yes, the GDPs are auto fem

• This is my first time using Fox Farms; next grow, I’m planning to do what you suggest and go with an organic option that I can water/feed earlier

• Yes, I’m keeping a close eye on the moisture and feeding, which is easy in my situation

• This is my second grow; for the first I was in 5-gallon pots, which I plan to use again in the future

Day 48…tired of getting in the tent every day to dump water in the reservoirs, and seeing wet spots on some leaves that were touching, so I significantly pruned the tent again for airflow due to RH concerns; and then I top watered ~1 gallon of water with ~1 tbsp of molasses total between the three of them to hopefully help out. Thinking I will do a proper schwazzing next cycle to better cope with my environment issues since I’m almost getting there piecemeal this time anyways:
