Indoor Autos in Organic Soil with Tap Water

Day 34, dumped more water in the reservoir per usual, and in the continuing effort to keep these folks small and even-canopied I did a little more training, and also pruned some lower growth (from mainly the LMZ but also a little from the SH).

Day 37…been dumping water in the reservoirs daily as folks are drinking more and more; and as the RH battle is beginning and in the continuing effort to keep these folks small in my environment, I significantly pruned some more lower growth and blocker leaves again. We shall see if I overdid it as time goes on:

@Mozzy — GREAT stuff, My Friend! It’s especially interesting to see the grow journal of an auto grower who subscribes to the genetics. Nothing against photos, I intend to start more down that road once I have a few more runs under my belt, but digging this!!!

Thank you!

Day 41…adjusted the light for height and increased the dimmer, so they should be getting ~820 PPFD/53 DLI max and ~710/46 average; and significantly pruned some more branches (mainly from the LMZ) for airflow due to RH issues:

Day 43…just dumping water in the reservoirs daily, and pruning as needed for environment:

Nice grow, its working good! Sounds like easy growing

It took a lot of teaching myself things no one talked about, trials, and errors to get to this point…it is an ongoing learning process; but yes, it is easy organic growing that requires and costs almost nothing, except knowledge and experience, once setup.

I admire that, I’m working towards it also! Its easier with lots of weed put away my biggest lesson so far.

Hey there, @Mozzy
Just given props

Your journal is the first one I’ve noticed where adjustments for lighting height get documented:

For newbies like me, it helps when you do that. Especially when you’re getting results like in this pic

I want that. Please keep telling what you’re doin.

Thank you, I’m glad. That’s 90% of why i started this thread…I struggled to learn what I needed to learn when I started wanting to grow, because it wasn’t the focus of a lot of the population.

Most of my success is now due to knowledge and experience with ongoing environment and related details…Temp, RH, Proper Water/ing, PPFD/DLI, Airflow, Pruning, Training, Drying, Curing, etc.

Feel free to ask questions, I am likely taking things for granted that may cause someone else to struggle if they were trying to replicate in a vacuum (and I’m usually medicated when I post ;). :four_leaf_clover:

@Mozzy — I like what I see in your approach. I need to learn to trim like you do.

@Mozzy — What would you advise for my harem? I’m trying to spread out the canopy.

Do you have a grow journal going? If not, you should start one…based on your pictures, I have quite a few questions on your grow that could affect my answers.

@Mozzy — I do not have a grow journal going. Here are some details.

• ILGM GDPK
• Soil is Happy Frog
• On day 30
• Have fed them twice with Jack’s + Epsom + Silica; added Lotus Boost on most recent
• Light is HLG 650R; 18/6 light schedule
• 3 gal. Fabric pots
• 3’ x 3’ tent
• Two fans for circulation + exhaust fan
• RH 20% — 45%
• Ph to 6.5 — 6.8
• I’ve been following a tight parch and flood water schedule based on pot weight
