Popped 2 auto beans July 22nd, paper towel for 3 days, then sprouted great in 1 gallon pot.
Transplanted up to 2’×2’ raised bed around August 10th. (Kind of rough but they recovered after a few days)
Growth seemed normal/good going into stretch and early flower (until week 4 of bloom). Started noticing the tops foxtailing, one of the ladies more than the other, but it’s been more and more into week 5-6 now.
This makes me think it’s genetic but when I look around Wedding Cake Autos always seem like 75% indica so to see sativa attributes is confusing to me.
Soil - Promix HP
Nutes - Gaia Green + Down to Earth
Amendments - Quillaja, recharge, bulletproof SI, Fish Shit, CoWoCo castings
Lighting - Mars LED ~18" from canopy, 17on/7off, 15k-20k LUX which I believe is around 400-500par
Grow space - 3×3 grow tent/low tech/fans for airflow and exhaust
(80-82° daytime and 75° nighttime)
Has anyone experienced this issue with this cultivar or if y’all have any tips on my grow, I’m not brand new but I’ve had consistent problems with autoflowers in general, compared to the photo tents.
Any advice or constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated
PS - LED was slowly cranked up from 75% to 100% intensity once the stretch started. I have already tried turning down to 80% for a few days last week and it seemed to foxtail more…
