I guess I will cut the peat pots down the sides and see if I can cut the bottom off of them then put them in bigger pots… Might not even need 4 gal. pots since they are so stunted…? could use smaller pots, I suppose? Even 2 gal. maybe, if I have any…?
How much more do roots grow after flower? A lot???
I have a bunch of ffof, and some Gardeners Gold potting soil, which is not so hot, I think… Should I put all ffof in the bigger pots, or mix the 2? The “seedlings” are about 4 weeks and 2 days old, i think, but are only 3 1/2 inches tall, and the one really small one is only less than 3 inches tall!!! Are they old enough, or big enough…, to handle straight ffof outside of the peat pots yet??? Or I can mix the 2 potting soils on top…, and put straight ffof half way down???
Anyone know of a regular photo female strain that grows real fast, and really good yield, and real high thc content and/or popular strain, and is really hearty and REALLY EASY for a beginner to grow!!! lol Gonna grow regular female photos under lights this winter, I think…!!! Might try some autos next summer!!! Or, I might actually have to grow auto’s this winter, now that i do the math…

Thanks for the advice @PurpNGold74!!! As far as size of pots for these stunted little auto flowers that never really got enough sun, How much do roots continue to grow after the plants start to flower?
Thinking I should maybe use smaller pots than I was going to? Since I really doubt they will get as big as I had hoped!!! Was going to use 4 gal pots, but that might be a little big, or unnecessary, even for auto’s that are not stunted? Maybe 2 gal. pots might be plenty big enough for these stunted plants? Ok. Do not pull apart you peat pods. It is possible. But will definitely stunt ur autos. If you have the kind with the little screen film around it u can peel that but be careful. It will fall apart. Then olant the pods directly into 3 gallon pots minimum.
Soil. I like to give seedlings an extra chance. For the bottom of the pot straight FFOF mixed with 1 part perlite to 3 parts FFOF soil. The top half i 1/3 FFOF with 1/3 potting soil and 1/3 perlite. DRAINAGE DRAINAGE DRAINAGE. Add extra holes to pot BEFORE soil. Them u can drop the baby girl in her pod directly into the soil. Usually i wet the soil BEFORE transplanting so i dont have to water her in after the shock of the transplant.
Roots. Roots grow WITH your plant. The more established root system the bigger the plant. Most roots are grown during the vegging period and bigger pots equal more expansive root systems equals bigger plants.
Winter grow. Autos are finicky. They stunt easy and have little to no time to recover from mistakes. But they are without time limit. When i began growing, I heard ‘autos are for beginners’ n bought mostly them. 4 months later i have one harvest (pending) and all my auto seeds are gone. (Mostly due to rookie mistakes) but im HAPPY I SAVED my photos. Now i can grow righteous HUGE buds and veg them as long as i want. So in that sense autos are good for ‘practice’. They are also good because they grow faster. But i will say… photos are without a doubt more forgiving. And possibly should be more recommended to beginners. (Certain strains at least)

Do u grow auto’s??? I got to get them figured out, because I don’t think I have time to grow Photo’s this next grow!!! And it seems to me, that with auto’s one has to get them growin as fast and as big as possible before they decide to flower??? Right??? On top of doing a whole bunch of other things to get good hard nugs…!!! lol
Oh someone told me to get this digital timer because the old school ones can break, or his did break, and ruined his grow of killer buds, he said!!! But I think the one he said to buy can only control one or two things…, and I probably will have to control more than that when I finally receive my new light. Any suggestions on that??? What kind of timer/timers to get??? Thanks!!!

@PurpNGold74. Drainage is that important!!! Maybe those new Smart Pots, or Smart Bags are worth it then??? I got a bunch of old school pots that I can drill more holes in though!!! Love to re use things instead of buying new stuff all the time!!! lol Thanks!!!

Yea. Go digital timer definitely. Also i only got 1 to almost harvest So its more like ive killed autos. You can actually grow a photo just as fast as an auto. Just give it a 4-5 week veg and flip her light hours to 12/12.
The single most important pregrow tool to buy is a GOOD pH meter. Take a look on amazon at the Apera 20. $45 and ull thank me later. Also a tds/ec meter is worth its weight as well. Not as important as pH tho.
The most important aspect of an indoor grow imho is lighting. If you havent bought one yet. Allow me to save u some money n valuable time energy n effort. Budget? Space u wanna start with? N we can go from there.

Ot oh!!! @PurpNGold74 This guy on here that builds lights, suggested I buy a HLG 260 XW, I think it is called…!!! I told him it was too expensive for me… He said look at these and those then… I looked at a lot of lights, and just decided to buy what he said, because all these other people told me he builds insanely good lights, and knows his stuff!!! Figure it will for off in the long run!!! Hope u those are a good value!?! Because I know nothing about lights!!! lol Figure I will get a 3’ x 3" tent, and not sure what kind of fans, and filter to get…??? Or what set up to have for that light really, or how hot it gets…??? Got this cheap little 45 watt Unifun light the other day to tide me over, it actually is more like 35 watts from the wall… It is kinda cool… It does not get hot at all, but prob. does not do much, or can not use for flower stage… It is in a walk in closet though, and creates no real heat at all in there!!! Interesting… to me… lol
So what did u decide on? Im building me a light VERY similar to that exact light (i think) either one @ around 260w or a couple smaller ones to ‘configure’ me a grow area
Ok… problem is… I am supposed to go outta town, and then I will have to put my plants outside i guess for a few days, because no one can water them, and that will not matter much to auto’s, but could make photo’s turn to flower early this time of year coming up real soon…
Auto’s are or can be, pretty hard or really hard to grow then??? It’s not just me??? Well, mine did not get nearly enough sun in that green house!!!

Good is an understatement. They are the best investment lighting wise u could make (besides DIY of course 
) but ull love them. N the girls will adore u for it. Trust me. If we can get ur knowledge up. Ull be growing autos that put me to shame. Also lighting doesnt affect autos at all. So in that sense it makes more sense to have autos. But if its only 2-4 days they’ll (photos) will be just fine. Transition to flower is usually 10-14 days. Just dont leave em outside that long n theyll be ok
Yup. I have to take the ‘cheap route’. But as long as i can get good solid efficient light idga crap about brands or stickers.

Lol ikr. Seems like a science now. But u can see how easily HIGH GRADE weed is to grow. N the investment is easy. Im dying to taste my first harvest. Berry Bomb n she smells better then anything ive bought… n she hasnt been cut, dried, cured…

N see. That ‘works’ to an extent. But sonetimes the smoke is ‘harsh’ or ‘stringy’ now. We are past that… on a personal grower level past it
