welcome to the community, happy frog will get you to 4 to 5 weeks and then you will need nutes to finish the rest of the grow. everyone has different opinions on what nutes to use but seem the majority like Jacks 321. I am currently using Fox Farms Trio along with cal mag.

As far as tent set up is it necessary to run a small fan during the flowing process also can put five plants in this current set up I’m going to use ?

The kit comes with five five gallon bags was going to use a screen and set a container to catch run off

I think a fan is a good idea and i would go with no more than 2 plants in that tent. im growing 2 in my 2x4 tent using a HLG 260 XL light. im not sure what lighting comes with that kit. you also may need a Humidifier for your tent, you won’t know until you start running it. don’t forget a ppm meter and sounds like you have a ph meter already.

That would be a lot for a new grower and also too much for that set up. Generally is recommended one plant per 24x24 space. Also that depends on the light you will be using. 2 plants with around 300 true watts of good full spectrum light in that tent could easily produce a half pound of finished product.

Yes I have a meter so run two plants to play it safe the light is a led vs2000 200watt when I get all my stuff I’ll send pics before I germinate I really appreciate the help

The only reason I was thinking five was to see if I get any male plants

If they are autos from a reputable distributor the chance of that is near zero.

Also I would stay with 3 girls in 5 gallons. If you go down to 3 gallons you can run 4 or 5 with no issue.

Just F.Y.I., it makes it easier for everyone to help and follow if you post everything here rather than starting a new topic. At least for each grow.

I bought the seeds from iltgm how much of the fox farm trio will I need ?( Going to do the 3 plants in the five gallon fabric pots with trap for run off I’ll be draining with a hand pump , gemination to pot) And what mixing method do I use ? For week 5 for the trio. lighting I was thinking 3feet for seedling 2 feet for veg/ flower water looks like you guys check the soil for half of an inch for moisture . Sorry for the delay posts are limited because I’m a new user unfortunately . Trying to get all my questions in one post and back to lighting 12/12 18/24 18/6 or 24 ?.. I know I can look this up but it’s alot of info that all sounds great but what will really work.? …

Then you can pretty much count on getting a plant every time and it will be female. We will all try and help you get her to harvest

If you haven’t already purchased that, I would advise against it. There are better choices. Jack’s 321 seems to be the favorite for many. Simple and affordable.

You will want to let your plant decide that. Start there and watch out for excessive stretch. Raise or lower the lights as the plants dictate. Plenty of growers here to help with “tweaking” shape/size.

A full inch/dry is more like it. I go by the weight and feel of the plant as well as watching for signs like wilting. It won’t take long for you to be able to “read” your plant and know how healthy it is.
As for light schedule, I stay at 18/6 the entire grow with autos. Some growers may use 24, 12/12 even 4/2/4/2…autos don’t really care.

Fox farm ocean forest organic mix is in the mail got a bigger phlevel kit and the jacks 321 does seem to be the easiest now I have to sit back and wait for my stuff thanks for all the great info

If u didn’t purchase nutes yet seriously read up on jacks 321. It’ll be best as it’s cheap and goes a long long ways. Does wonderful to the plants as a stand alone set works great with multiple types of additives. 2x4 in 5 gallons 3 easy but I’d start with 2 as autos seem to grow their own ways sometimes atleast get a feel for how 2 goes then u’ll know if u wanna do more than 2 or less in a bigger pot. I’d start off a bit slower tho and move up from there even if u start more seeds in a few weeks to a month and leave urself a gap between harvest s but it will be a bit hard to fit a third plant in after that long as the first 2 will prolly have consumed the space already lol.
