Hey everyone! Been following along to everyone’s grows for about a month now, and i really enjoy reading all of your responses. So any advice would be much appreciated.
Im using a 2x4 tent, SF2000 light, 4inch inline fan/ carbon filter, a hurricane clip fan, a crappy humidifier that i cant really adjust( will buy a better one soon) 18/6 light schedule, FFOF soil, and a water ph of 6.5
So i germinated two gorilla glue autos and one girl scout cookies auto, both from ilgm. I got a little trigger happy and germinated before my tent/pots showed up and due to a late arrival i was forced to throw my germinated seeds in solo cups, so ill be forced to transplant… yes, i am infact a idiot
My first question is how soon till i can transplant? Only two out of three have sprouted from the cup, but all three sprouted when they were in paper towels. So it should pop out eventually, right?
Also i have my lights about 22 inches from my plants and im running at 50% power. Is that correct or should i adjust? Currently im just spraying the tops with water ph’d to 6.5. Should i wait to fully water till i translpant? Any input would be awesome
When there leaves reach the side of the solo. When you transplant they won’t need alot of water maybe 5ml twice a day and water in a circle away from the stem. Yes it should pop out I have a grow going right now and one sprouted a day or 2 behind the others
I stopped using solo cups for the same reason I went to fabric pots. I use quart sized nursery bags. When it comes time for a bigger pot, I just pop them into a larger pot.
Your light should be fine assuming that light has at least 200W input and its full spectrum LED which I think that is. 50% light and 22" is good target. Pretty close to what I do. Watch for too much stretch then lower the light/raise the power inly if necessary. I tend to have too much light and my plants hug the ground. Lol
I would transplant way before it can get close to root bound.
Your in fox farm soil when you do transplant if you stay in ff soil. Water 1st week then start adding a little cal mag plus iron. Ff is lacking in that area. No nutes will be needed for about 4 to 5 weeks. Do you know what you will be usimg for nutrients yet.
You’ll like the jacks, it really doesn’t get any easier. The happyfrog will be good for a few weeks so right around then I start adding the jacks at about 1/2 strength. From there you can work yourself up to full strength. Lots of people jump right in with full strength but I Havnt seen the need. You’ll like those strains especially the gg. I’ve grown them both and they did quite nicely despite my best efforts to kill them lol!
Ur seedlings look good but for future grows fill ur solo cups up with soil this will become a problem for ur seedlings there branches and leaves will end up pressed up against the sides of the cups with how much soil u have in those cups
One of my GG still hasnt popped out of the soil but it did germinate, although it was the smallest by alot. Its been a week… should i start a new one you think?
@Pixiesfreak
Yeah I hear that…I accidentally left one of my mutated seedlings in front of the little space heater while I was doing maintenance on the bigger two…came back an hour later and she was fried, left me a little
Yeah that sucks man. Im using this cheap humidifier and accidentally left in on over night and woke up to my tent being 100% humidity and everything being covered in water live and learn i guess lol @ThatsNotMineOfficer
I found that using an reptilian humidifier (if that’s what you wanna call it) And removing the hose to be really effective, also I use an Inkbird I608TC I wanna say it’s called but it controls humidity and heat and is automated with probes in the tent, it’s really simple, you set your parameters and when they get out of Limit it kicks on your humidifier OR heater (they’re both plugged into the controller) you can also use it for your inhale and exhaust fans to control air flow which is what I’m using now that I’m in flower, there’s a dehu in there that I have running 24/7, there’s also two 6” hurricanes in the corners and a big ol 16” up in the top so there’s plenty of air flow to help with the humidity, these controllers put me at ease knowing I can dial in the climate of my grow and take away a lot of the stress, I recommend them to anyone growing anything
