I put 20 seeds in paper towels and they all cracked. But then they just stopped and deteriorated.
Why???

How long did you keep it towel
Most of us soak our beans in water 12-24 hours until they crack then we place in towel for no more than 24 hours
Them pot them in soil or choice of medium

Let the towel dry and all seeds die.
