I live in a climate that all of the times it is above 80°f and 9 months of the year it is 85°f to 98°f in the shade. Causing my plants to foxtail and of course the heat is no good for normal plants. I want to be able to use Autoflowers. If none , then a good hearty Feminized plants will have to do. I’m talking about spring too fall 80°f - 98°f lots of rain, blazing Sub-tropical sun, ultra high humidity also. ILGM can you recommend anything. Even better would a fellow grower, who lives in similar climate and has tested.
In the winter there is just not enough hours of sun to even get decent buds. A waste of good seeds. I have tried for easily 3 years, no luck yet.
Sounds like you’d be better off moving to an indoor grow in which you can control most of those variables like temperature and humidity.
I do have a indoor grow which is great , humidity and temperature just right. I just want to get some high THC/terpene outdoor cannabis. There has to be a few good strains that grow in the Caribbean area or Central America

Problem here is that ruderalis is used to make autos and that is completely opposite climate. It sounds like you are closer to equator and strains indigenous to that climate would be a better option.
Maybe something like Durban Poison or Maui Wowie?
Look for sativas with flowering time estimates that will fit your weather/season change timing
Im in same climate adverage in tent (indoor grow) is 82° /50-+ Rh. With good airflow they do fine.
Hey @oldbud1 you have probably tried a hybrid with a Durban Poison heritage.
Works well in the heat of North Texas.
Here’s a list of how Durban Poison has been used to create a multitude of Hybrids.

Hey mate i live in Southern Australia get lots of days here over 90 to100 plus farenheit in summer i have lots of success with The Incredible Bulk strain also handles the cooler temp well at night can post some pics if you need as its flowering time here now
Im not for sure based on his avitar. @W.B.elpaso grows outdoors. If El Paso tx is his region, he grows some tall buds.
He’s been paged and shows up often. Hope he can help ya.
Pardon my manners,
Welcome to the happy place @SouthAussie .
We have a few that post often down under.
Look forward to seeing your grows.
Thanks mate for the welcome
Great forum here with lots of knowledge to learn from and bounce off.
Outdoor grower only at this stage as the laws here are tough in this state but wish to set up indoors.
Have a few at various stages of flower and look forward to posting there progress with all, they are not trees as i plant later in the season to keep the size on the down low.
Thanks again mate
@LJ75 is fellow indoor/patio grower from downunder, she has journal that shares numerous strains to follow, she might have some valueable info for ya.
She is a favorite to look in on, never a boring picture shared.
@Mosca you are too kind
@SouthAussie hi welcome. This place is full of knowledge for sure. It’s super humid pretty much all the time where I am too. I’ve noticed that the weed available here always has airy buds so it might be that the growers near here try to grow sativa leaning plants. I wouldn’t want to be trying to grow bushy plants commercially around here. I would try to find out more information about that via whoever you normally buy from. Having said that, my first grow was a hybrid, Dream Girl, from a genuinely local seed guy who I’ve lost contact with now. That girl grew some awesome buds and handled the humidity really well, in February no less. I’ve just started another three of her.
I have found that the only way to deal with the inside humidity completely is to use a portable air con, but I don’t like air con, hate it. So now that I have an idea of what I’m doing, I use both indoor and outdoor space, a hybrid model. The humidity is mostly a problem inside the tent and my plants definitely grow better in the fresh air, part sun/part shade during the day when not raining, and inside under lights to fill in all other light hours, usually from 6-10am and again from 8pm-midnight, and during dark periods. I think the extra humidity outside is mitigated by the better air circulation and sunlight. And they just seem happier out there lol and that’s our job, keeping them as happy as possible. Sorry if this was rambley, I just harvested some gorilla glue that has absolutely clobbered me.
Hi LJ75 and thanks for your welcome
Checked out your grow diaries and WOW very impressive indeed you certainly have a great balance going.
Good old Oz weather hey, lots of heat down my way topping out at 41 degrees later on in the week.
I grow from seed purely outdoors at this stage but are looking at an indoor mix going forward.
I have good success with Ak47 Incredible Bulk and Girl Scout found Strawberry Kush too airy along with a few other strains.
All in flower at the moment with the latest being around 4 weeks in flower so good times have a mix of inground and pots but can control the pots growth better.
Apologies for quality of pics but will improve
Thanks again for the welcome mate
