I found pollen sacks

Now what? I’m a month into flower.

Ahh it looks like they’re open already!!!
I just went through something similar, check out my post here’s a link.

Plain water will neutralize residual pollen, get a spray bottle, spray the hell out of it with water, pluck off all nanners and sacks you see and keep a close eye from here on out. . It’s possible your flowers may have been self pollinated, if there’s other plants in the room you may want to consider moving the ones that are showing signs of hermaphroditism. They can pollinate the whole room.
The other option, a bit grim. :carpentry_saw::carpentry_saw::carpentry_saw::carpentry_saw::carpentry_saw:

Yeah that’s a bummer . Free bird has you covered. Good luck :v:

It truly is a bummer but it happens, my strain was genetically predisposed to herming, and it happened.

Are they just in that one spot or all over?

Female flower on one side and full male flower on the other makes me think its full hermaphrodite and not a Female throwing a few nanners from stress.

If its just the spot clip it off and cross your fingers.
If there’s multiple all over then its a cull

My thought also. Doesn’t look like stress herm, just a good ol’ XXY. I’ve had them before too, and surprisingly snipping the male flowers rid me of them for good.

I’ve been watching my plants and so far so good… no more sacks!

I just found them on one branch. I have 4 plants in my tent. One (I feel like) is way closer to being finished than the other 3. Should I think about chopping it?

Spray down the plant with water, remove the pollen sacs. Spray again with water. Then see if the sacs come back - I’m betting it’ll be fine and you can run them all to harvest. Water kills pollen, makes the room safe even if you shake stuff up a little removing sacks.

I shouldn’t spray with the light on. Right?

I’m of the opinion that plain water causes no harm to cannabis plants even at lights on. The magnification thing people warn about only applies to plants with small micro hairs like tomatoes - that elevates the water just above the leaf surface and can cause burns. Weed plants don’t have micro hairs on the top side of the leaf, so it’s a nonissue in my experience.

When I cleaned the sacks off my plant the 2 plants in the room got sprayed with a total of 40oz during the process in a single Evening, lights on. Without an issue. It’s rains outside all the time…. On ALL the plants…… spray them, just watch your RH with the added moisture. The water helps to sterilize the pollen as well as keep it from floating around.

Snip them off of just a few and hope for the best.
Just keep and eye on it, new fliwer site’s dont form once flower gets going, they just get bigger.
So good chance you get rid of whats there, hopefully the female flowers will stay female

If you do get seeds it’s not the end. Just shake it out to make dry ice hash.
Then before next grow wash down tent good then spray it down with peroxide. I’ve read that temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit of dry heat kills pollen. That would be a good way to make sure there is none left in fans or any other equipment.
Ps. Don’t burn the place down.

I live in the Mojave desert just outside Death Valley where it’s regularly 115-120F sometimes 125F for 4-5 months consistently and I can give you personal testimony that this just isn’t the case, I have pollinated intentionally and unintentionally in these temperatures both instances resulted in pollinated female flowers and seeded buds.
Just my experiences with this criterion. I’m not saying it can’t kill, I just wouldn’t count on it.

@Freebirdmikes
Good to know . I feel the same about pure water rains all the time. Read one article that was from a science horticulture site that said that water knocks it down but doesn’t destroy it. They said it is very hard on the outside and is hard to destroy. So who knows. Mother nature is hard to beat.
