Just want to make sure I’m doing it right. I know it’s more of a trial and error…
These two were trimmed and tied down, next run I will be leaving it untouched to see witch way I like better. Will also be trying a third run h.s.t where you bend the main stem flat at I think 2-3 weeks…
First time grower so I’m still learning…
They’ve been getting nutrients 1tsp per gal.
Tall plant is in 3.5gal pot
Small plant in 5gal pot
Planted at same time.
Tips, advice, opinions, suggestions, ideas
Hoping I didn’t mess with the yield with it already being auto flower or the potency.

Hey @Ryan2 , Welcome to the forum.
Saw your first post on another thread and glad to see you followed the advice to start your own thread for your grow. There are some restrictions on your account for the first 24 hrs, but they will be lifted soon. It keeps spammers from ruining the forum. Pictures take a minute or two to fully upload and you just need to watch the upload status before hitting the reply button. So just re upload your pics when you get back.
From what I saw you are off to a good start. Initial advice I have might be to avoid pulling off leaves unless there is a good reason. The plant wont grow faster/bigger/better by defoliating. If it gets to dense it might be a mold or mildew problem so then it will be needed, but yours are nowhere near needing defoliating. People will tell you that the plant will focus “It’s” energy on making buds. But the plant does not have “Energy” , the light is the only energy source for growth and the leaves are the place where that energy is processed. The food we give the plant is converted in the leaves into the actual food the plant needs to grow. Flowers will develop and grow even if under a leaf as the nutrients the flowers needs are mobile, and move from any nearby leaf to the flower for growth.
Your plants look a bit stretched out as well so I suspect your light is not quite strong enough. What are you using for light? Tell us the brand and model of your light to help us give better advice.
Overall you have a great start. Many new growers dont do nearly as well as you have.
You will fine a lot of great growers here. You have found your new home for growing.
