Hi can someone help me better understand when I Gorilla Glue auto is going into flowering stage… and can I trim fan leaves to get better sun to new growth underneath them…
When you see your plants starting to push white pistols I would consider flowering stage. I would consider tucking the fan leafs first. It’s not the end of the world if you take a few leafs just don’t get crazy.
I’ll take a pic soon as I get home… so she is def in pre flower but she is so small… she was 4 weeks old Saturday… she also had stunted growth 4 hours after I planted neighbors dog dug in my pots… this is the only one I could find so she had a slow start… this pic is her last week… so when would I start flower nutes and how do I tuck fan leaves?
She is also more bushy now so I will take good pics in about an hour
It will stretch and get a lot bigger the only two leafs I would take off of that plant is the two bottom ones touching the dirt. What kind of soil are you in ? Plant that size there’s not much to tuck.
Looks good so far. Looks like she is preflower. My autos all flowered at 4-5 weeks. Like @kellydans said she’s gonna start to stretch and grow quite a bit over the next week or two. Once you start to see white buttons you’re full into flower and off to the races as they say. Good luck!
She was in FFOF and 30% perlite up until four or five days ago… when I transplanted I used half of old dirt mixed with Coco Loco and a little extra perlite… I only started feeding the next day after transplantation because the bottom leaves started to yellow… I used FF big grow half of recommended dose… when should I switch to flower nutes??? This is so confusing dunno image|375x500
Thanks for the encouragement and advice tho anything helps me but I’m trying to keep it simple as possible because I don’t know much about growing…
Looks like you know enough to LST. You’ll be fine. I only have one plant under my belt so I’m not too far ahead of you. My current grow is going really well. Patience will get you there😉
When did you start nuting for flowering?
Looks to me like it has already started to flower. As for nutrients, if you were using a grow nutrient you can switch to the bloom formula.
I’m new to autoflowers, just starting my third grow, but they go so fast that I’m starting to think if there is sufficient nutrients in the soil to support growth using a large enough pot (5-7 gal), you need very little grow and bloom fertilizer and instead should concentrate on feeding the roots and buds. I purchased the Fox Farms Dirty Dozen and use the Kangaroots, Microbe Brew and Boomerang for feeding the roots, and Bembe (and Rock Resinator) for feeding the bud. Just experimenting at this point, but the three autoflowers I have growing seem to have nice big colas with another 4-5 weeks to go.
Nice little plant you have there!
Im guessing its an auto right?
These plants were showing girl parts quite a bit before these pictures were taken this was end of April
Same plants a couple weeks ago, calyx still the same and will start to make clusters of calyx. In about 2 weeks Im guessing, so they have begun the stretch and should have buttons in a couple weeks, but Ive known their girliness for months.
Mine looks so small compared to these…
@Cannabian was just showing his plants and how much they can grow. Not to sound like “swammi says” or any thing, but your plant can tell you if its happy or not. This is a great group of people who can help with just about any problem you run into. Your plants look good. You can’t always go by the seed venders’ adds on harvest time. Harvest time will be determined by the color of your pistils and tricomes, as well the effects you want. Remember, its not the size of your plant, its the size and number of your buds!
These plants are bigger now than in the photo. Take note that these plants are very old they were started from seed on New Years day. So they have had a great head start. This greenhouse has a 12 foot cieling and the sativa on the right has been bent over to help it fit in the space.
The main attempt here was to demonstrate that female calyx is present throughout the grow at the young stem internodes until flowering begins. What happens before flower is an elongation of the branches at the tips and the calyx production begins to multiply rapidly. The little hairs are where the pollen would attach itself and fertilize the ovum. If pollenation is successful a seed will form. This is what the girl parts are looking like up the stems
Very true!!! Def want big buds… and I can not lie!!! I know so corny but had too!!! glad to hear it’s looking okay… do you know when I should start cal mag???
I would ask @Cannabian on that one. Cal mag was in the “group” of nutrients I gave my girl during her flowering. Here’s a couple of pictures. She is a blueberry auto, and I had a couple of problems along the way- light failure, 1st grow in years, etc.
Hey- you can see in that 1st picture that some of the pistils are brown/amber and the tricomes are a milky color. They give your plant that frosted look. I only have a 2’x2’x4’ grow tent so she isnt that big. But she has lots of buds.20200721_160547|375x500
Nice looking bud you have there… I have three sour blueberry autos growing they are as big of not bigger as my gorilla glue and they are 10days younger than it…
