How to tell when flowering stage starts

How do you tell when flowering stage starts? What adjustments do i make? I’ve done extensive google search. Would love to hear feedback from real growers. Thanks. Northern light autoflower. Im at week 5 made a few light and nutrient mistakes on this grow. But working my way through.

The plant will start pushing up pistils at the tips instead of new foliage.

She looks like just starting to flower. Autos usually start flowering between 5 to 7 weeks Welcome to the community ! :v:

I always start counting when I see a few white pistils. Some people consider flowering when the little budlets have formed, but I think the majority count when they first start seeing pistils.

She’s in pre-flower the way I count it - I wait until we’ve got a “hedgehog”. Once that top bud shows then you’re off to the races.

Good luck with your grow!

I have the same question. Is she in preflower? Outdoor grow and not even close to 12 hours darkness I was given this plant about 2 months ago and know nothing about the genetics. But seeing lots of white pistols. Is this normal? Is she still in vegetive or is she in flowering stage? First time grower and would be extremely grateful for any advice

Is that good or bad? Isn’t this early? Could it be autoflower? What do I do now?

I start seeng a few pistils at some of the upper nodes in June but they dont start flowering until mid late July early August. When you 1st see pistils she’s just showing her sex. Most of the people I know dont cout flowering until theres buttons on the tips of the branches or pistils stacking on top of each other
