Happy Friday everyone! I’m growing auto’s, white widow, 4 1/2 weeks from germination. I’m growing indoors with 1000 watt LED hung about 15 inches above top of plants, watering just a little every other day. My question, is this the beginning of a flower?? See photo.
I’m not seeing any signs of female YET. Get some better pics of the calyx (between stock & branches) when you do think ya see something. Here’s a female that just started flowering 1 week after flipping light to 12/12 which induces flowering. Your lights still on 18 hours isn’t gonna make her flower but she will show presex kinda like puberty but just not full blown until the hormones kick in from less light.
It is an auto, it will show sex when it is ready to. I have autos going now and one started 3-10 is going full preflower, ones started 3-29 is not showing anything and one popped up on 4-3 and I can see pistils on her bases. The ones showing are blueberry and not showing is amnesia haze. I am running 18-6 full time.
Once you start seeing white hairs it’s flowering
I’m not seeing flowering stage yet. Autos usually flower between 4 to 7 weeks. Good luck.
Thank you @LoCoRock for your reply and explanation. You are doing a great job with your plants! This is my first grow so I’m sure I could be doing much better. Lol. I am growing autos and they were planted 3/20. I was afraid I didn’t water enough because soil always looked dry on top. Muddy soil is bad from everything I read here so I water very lightly.
I’m going to build some support because plants aren’t growing straight up. I want to use the SOG (sea of green) technique to allow for maximum yield.

Thank you @kellydans. This is my first grow with autos so I don’t know when to expect flowers to start. I’m hoping they will fully mature before it gets too hot here.
Thank you, @fast-grow for your answer to my question. These are my first and auto’s to boot. They are going on 5 weeks old so it is probably too early for any flowers yet. My liquid fertilizer came in yesterday so I give a little every other watering. I’ll keep you posted.
They are in fox farm soil and 5 weeks old now so well into veg, is this correct? If so you probably don’t need nutes yet but if you must make sure it’s 1/4 strength ESPECIALLY at this age. Get up another pic of entire plant and you could raise the light up a little also …15" is a lil close for my comfort but not unheard of.
Thank you @LoCoRock for all your recommendations. Autos only have a 3-4 month growing season from what I understand. I’m into 6th week of veg cycle which as you pointed out it is too early for any drastic changes from my routine.
