Why do my buds smell great while they are curing, but when I pull out an individual bud, it smells like grass? Even trimming, the individual buds smelled amazing. I think I let them dry a little too long. I let them hang dry for 16 days. I put them right into a grove bag after I trimmed. The humidity was at like 50-51% for a few days, and the temperature is between 62-68 degrees. I added some tortilla in the bag, and the humidity has been between 58-62% now. I guess I lost all the terpenes?
Your terpines are fine. It’s due to chlorophyll and it will gas off over a period of several weeks of curing.

Thanks, cause it smelled so good as I was trimming. I’m about to trim a super lemon haze plant that’s been drying for 10 days. It smells just like a lemon, and I am not trying to lose that.
It will come back. It’s just that the chlorophyll is overwhelming it for the moment. It is normal for this to happen.
Terpines are indeed volatile; however, you won’t have any preventable loss at your temps and RH. The lemon smell is due to a terpine called limonene.
