How far into flower is it safe to defoliate this much.
Is it a “few leaves at a time” process or do you guys just wack them all at once to avoid prolonged stress

@BarrettBGrows wow I’m surprised someone using my pics more then as of what not to do lol. So I’m on my next grow this is an GG autos she’s about 5-6 weeks old. Just started some LST last week, and just cut a few leaves of today. I always try to take a few leaves at a time never more then 20% at one time don’t want to stress out to much. I also only take leaves off on days I feed. Today I feed re charge and Black strap molasses so took a few off

I wish I could lay claim guys but they aren’t mine 
I just pop them off a couple at a time. Basically every two days.
Depending on the size I may pop off twice that I would normally do.

@imSICKkid defols at 21 days of flower and at 42 days of flower. And he removes every leaf that has a visible stem. I think @AfgVet does this from time to time as well.

I’ve done it in past grows. This grow a kept a few more leaves than in the past.

Is that safe for autos?

I wouldn’t suggest doing so with autos. At least that’s what serious auto growers advise.

In my experience yes just don’t touch them in veg. Let them leaf up and enter flower first

I’ve been doing light defo since 4th or 5th node. Hoping it didn’t stunt my growth. It’s moving along but she’s just starting to push some major pistils. It’s been 7 1/2 weeks since popping

I only top during veg and remove the lower fans around week 3. Once the stretch is over a light defoliation then around week 6-7 another light defoliation. Selective plucking more so after under the skirt is tuned up a little. Mimics photos just a lot lighter and only those PITA fans that won’t stay tucked

I’m not sure exactly what the question is but I defoliate come pre flower and depending on the plant and what it’s doing. I do believe that too much too soon might stunt growth. They need the leaves to do their planty things lol.

They look good
Taking some or certain leaves on autos in veg is ok same in flower. Ut for main defols and or lollipops I’d say wait til all buttons are formed in flower before u hit it hard as to not mess with the flower making phase.
