Usually us toppers top at the 4-5th node. Preference to the grower depending what you are trying to accomplish.

Agreed, but I make sure they are at least 6" tall before I top…even if I cut a couple nodes off.

Yup, and I usually cut off 1 & 2 anyway. Then transplant and bury the node wounds. Wait a week and decide where I am topping.

@Bonjoyle @Riskguy I’m really not certain exactly what I’m gonna do. I usually grow clones and like the shorter bushy plants to take care of. I don’t train plants really. I just use layers of trellis net to spread tops apart create air flow and for plant stability and support.
