This is my first grow. I am growing 3 blue dream auto in 3 gallon pots with ff happy frog and ff trio. My question is should i reduce the amount of cal mag like i would the rest of the nuts, (because its an autoflower) or just give the recommended amount on the bottle? I hope that makes sence thanks!

I do not use Cal-mag. I have never needed it. The one time I did use it and the plant went down hill faster than a $2 hooker. I had to pull it as it had no chance of bouncing back. It was so bad.
I use tap water so it must have enough calcium and magnesium in it.

Hi @John33 . Welcome to the community.
When i was using blue planet nutrients, i mixed cal-mag with them and gave 3ml/gallon every feeding, and they were autoflowers. But now im using Jacks and it has enough calcium and magnesium, so i don’t add any.

Thanks guys any info is greatly appreciated. This is the most rewarding thing i have learned about and done in a long time. I forgot to mention im using distilled water or ro water depinding on what i can find to buy right now.

if using ro water you do need the cal-mag with ff . i use 5mls per gallon every water with silica boost . and depending on the stage of the plant your pH should be at
and learn about microbial life in your soil , recharge by real growers is a good one but are cheaper ones out there. did you also get the beasty bloom , cha-ching and open sesame ?
plus other things to add all depends on how much you want to spend . hope this helps , ask any time . if i can i will answer . good luck .

Welcome to the community ! go with full dose cal-mag. Especially using distilled water. As @alienofasoul mentioned, Also 310 to 450 PPM that’s low, I would up the feed a little.

Thanks! @alienofasoul all i am using right now is the grow big, tiger bloom and big bloom and now with the boosh dr cal mag i will for sure do mor research into the things you mentioned and try them out. @kellydans I know my ppm is low going in. Right now im only feeding evry other watering should i up to evry watering for one ore two times or just up the amount of nuts the next feeding?

if you have good draining soil water to a bit of run-off ! only feed nutrients up to twice a week . and look at the chart you will need to do a FF-sledgehammer flush every
3 weeks or you will get a nutrient lockout from salt build up .

I would just up the amount of feeding a bit next time. 700 should be plenty at this time. What is your feed chart calling for. I personally don’t use the Fox farm nutes but 400 ppm in Bloom is low.

Should i cut the amount of open sesame, beastie bloomz, and cha ching or just do whats recommended on the bottle. And thanks for the advice before my plants are doing much better and i cant wait to see what these do.

@John33 those are all for basically flower ,and if you follow the chart you should be safe . it will ultimately depend on the plants and what they say to you . like at full dose like the chart say’s , and you get no tip burn on the leaves you could up the feed to twice a week maybe every 4 days feed them . do a full dose on Monday and half dose on friday . and dont forget to flush - if you use lets say 1gal. to water , then use 2 or 3 gallons with the ff sledgehammer per plant for the flush . after i do the flush i add back in on same day, cal-mag and recharge .always put cal-mag in first , check pH if you need to up the pH do it now (i use baking soda) 1/8 tsp at a time till get use to what you need . reason is up and down things to change pH will kill off your microbial life . next day feed with what you have so far and water only to a small amount of runoff .
on my plants i start out in vag. and water every other day a 1/2 gallon . with cal-mag and silica . then because of my soil mix (too much perlite ) so dries fast, i do 1/2 gal. every day in flower .

@alienofasoul how do you like the morbloom? I bought a bottle and used it once and don’t think I will again soon. Dropped my pH beyond repair

These are supposed to be used at different stages of the plants development not at the same time. Are you feeding all of this at the same time? Add 1 tsp per gallon of cal mag every feeding

@Bluntsmoke i use it in place of the wholly-mackerel . and yes pH dump , but part of the operation of growing.
