How long should a clone take? (No roots)

I have a clone in a rapid rooter plug in a humidity bag.

I checked it and its obvious that the clone finally took as the stem is in there but its the 18th (the clone was pucked on the 7th)

And im still not seeing and roots popping out the sides. Any suggestions?

Don’t you have a thread?

I usually see roots by two weeks, some can take longer. Some strains are harder to clone as well.

On another strain yes.

This is specific to the rapid rooter cubes

Swear I’ve helped with these moldy bags before :person_shrugging:t2::green_heart::metal:t2:

Under good conditions cuttings should take around 2 weeks to develop a decent root system and be able to be potted on.

Under bad conditions it can take 4 weeks or more before they develop a decent root system.

You can encourage root growth by using a rooting hormone (gel or powder) available from any nursery/ garden center and most hardware stores. This needs to be applied before the cutting is put into a growing medium so don’t bother now.

You can spray a liquid fertilizer on the cuttings each day. try to use one that has a lot of phosphorus in it because that encourages root growth. Just give them a light spray on the leaves and they will soak up the nutrients through the leaves.
