How far do you trim leafs(haha) from the buds? Does anyone trim the little 3-leaf leaves intertwined inside the buds?
For me it depends if it can be removed easily without having to man handle the buds otherwise ill just remover them as i break the buds down to smoke a fine tiped pair of tweezers is good for plucking them out after it drys
I only pull the fans. Never put scissors on them. The sugar leaves break off during cure and I use for oils.
Very nice, I always get a little stoned then my focus during trim seems to get the best of me. So I wanted to ask and seem how different people do the trim. I
I do a real tight wet-trim on all the colas…reaching in between each budlet and getting as much of the petiole as possible. I use a bowl trimmer for all the mids…so they are not quite as tight.
I use a bowl trimmer and will never go back. Trim jail went from days to minutes.
Amen @Myfriendis410 , love my bowl trimmer!
I wet trim the fan leaves using long needle scissors.
Then I will “shape” trim (cut off all material “sticking out” if not trichomes show shining.
Tester shown above was 5 weeks since flowering (still early).
Testers help reduce the boredom of waiting for harvest exhale.
I wet trim all my bud I like to man handle my weed. I inspect every bud on everycola for bugs and bug damage and bud rot. Then it all gets washed and hung. After drying I trim everything down to no bigger than my thumb. Then it goes in the bud trimmer. Turned days into minutes for me.
Greetings, brother.
I agree! This looks where I trim mine up to.
I as well don’t beat up my buds. I remove any sugar leaves if they are to big when I smoke. The sugar leaves have nice tricones on them and never really bothers me.
Looks good take care.
I’ll do a rough wet trim and save the sugar leaves and anything that has trichomes on it and dry that separately. Then I’ll decarb the trim and make oil or whatnot while waiting for the good stuff to dry and cure.
