How do I rewire HLG lights to work with AC Infinity Controller 69?

Nice… I contacted hlg customer service… Asked if I could purchase a dimmer cover w/o dimmer switch… They said they would send me one for free.

Gonna make the dimmer switch hole square and add the Keystone jack into it…maybe two in parallel for daisy chaining lights in the possible future.

Been wanting to use my dremel tool.

HLG sent PDF of the wiring required for replacing Dial Dimmer Potentiometer with 69P-UIS-RJ11-12 Resistor Dongle, in response to customer request.

Correct Dongle Below ADL8-Type B Resistor Dongle

Good growing to you.

@DEEPDIVERDAVE Okay… I misunderstood… I thought they sent a pdf of the wiring diagram of the rj11 dual jack.

@DEEPDIVERDAVE did you mean to include the message from hlg as apposed to the apera?

Apera customer support, positive public service announcement.
HLG PDF does not up load as pdf.

They did send full pdf.

Requesting your own PDF from customer service would insure I didn’t leave any valuable information out
I tend to verify all electronic information.

Guys, really happy that I found this thread. I tried following all of the guidance and need some additional support.

I have an older HLG 550 V2 Rspec light with the Inventronics Drive Model #: EUD480S280DT with the 0-10/PWM/Time Dimmable Type, which appears to be just the manual knob dimmer/potentiometer.

Like many of you, I would like to connect this to my AC Infinity controller. I just got the Controller AI+. AC Infinity basically told me, no its not possible. But after reading through all of this, I have a sense that it absolutely is possible. I have limited experience with wiring and could use some help.

Below is the current wiring that is in the dimmer box. What specifically do I need to do after I purchase the RJ12 Dual Surface Mount Jack, WaGO Connectors, and Type B Adapter? Can someone help me with that, possibly @Sammys ? It looked like you have the same light but the wires appear to be different.

Thanks!

What do you need help with? I have an image posted above. Do you have any other pics of yours set up at all, or your RJ connector?

I see you have posted the current wiring. I would remove the dimmer wires from the wago connector first.

Looking at your photo, you have an orange wire with the purple wire in the WAGO connector. Where did you get the orange wire?

For the other connection, I see you have a grey and black wire, where did you get the black wire?

Assuming you bought them, what specific wires do I need for those?

I also see a black/white wire, which I don’t see in my dimmer box like yours.

Thanks for responding so quickly!!!

Following as I may buy a HLG 600Rspec for my AC Infinity 4x4… Definitely want to control it with the app if possible but in a similar boat to @jgrows21 with limited wiring/electronics knowledge

I can see the confusion. I think that the black and white wire is not needed, but my dimmer had it there and I left it unplugged. So, ignore that and give it a go.

The other wire was just some wire I had laying around. You can probably use anything from 18-22 AWG but I’d aim for 18 preferably, if you do not need the extension and just want to test or don’t need the extension, just go straight from the purple to the wago. Etc.
