I think a slow dry, and slow cure is what does it. Buy one of those cheap hygrometers to put in your jar, and keep humidity around 62. They even sell lids for jars with the hygrometers already in them.

Explain your proper cure. I wet cut, dry on net in basement with no light

The curing process starts once you’re finished drying. Many of us (myself included) use Grove bags to cure. But many others use mason jars. The curing process is where the chlorophyl is off-gassed, and the terpene aromas come out. Here’s a good link:

I wet cut so then put in jar open once daily(burp)
How long will it take to dry that way

You will need to dry outside of the jars. Trying to dry inside will result in mold/rot.

Bill Ward has an excellent 3 part video series on how to propperly harvest, dry and cure. I follow it to a T and it works great! Propper final flush (IMO), dry at propper rh and temps for propper length of time gives that, you guessed it, propper smell. Hope this helps you growmie.

Yes I have seen them thanks ,gal jars my harvest on one plant is 5-7 Oz per plant 3 plants at a time

So let dry I’m my basement almost all the way then put in jar

I use a wood moisture meter to determine when the dry is finished, but yes, dry then jar.

  1. Chop
  2. Wet trim if desired
  3. Hang in darkness where there is good airflow for 5-7 days
(Ideal conditions for dry are 60 deg.f and 60% Rh.)

Good method, 11% -12% moisture.
I place buds in a bowl with a lid and small hygrometer and cover/vent until stable at 65% or so.
Now ready for jar or Grove Bags to cure for 2 week minimum.
