How close am I getting here?

So my White Widow AF appears to be getting ever closer, sort of a race now between the plant dying completely or buds galore coming into the drying room. I am struggling to get the humidity down with 2 dehumidifiers. One is a small semi conductor kind, and another is big and sounds like an AC unit. The big one so far is just making a lot of noise, but I just put it in there so maybe it will pull some water. Anyway, humidity is around 70% and I am afraid of mold.
Should I pull them now, or wait?

You have weeks to go yet. If you can’t control humidity then the next best thing that you can do is to make sure the plant has good airflow. Use a dilute peroxide/water mix to control mold if it appears, but you’ll have to stay on top of it. Mold grows very fast when it gets started.

I’m assuming you have a exhaust and circulation fans and the tent isn’t sealed up to where it can’t exchange the air?

No sign of mold, I am just worried about the RH in there. What ratio of HP and water would you say, assuming the peroxide is 3%

My 30"x42" home built grow tent is inside a smallish (200 sq ft) mechanical room under the house. I have been keeping the front flap open about 6" during the day when the lights are on. There has been a 4" exhaust duct fan at the top of the tent, but I have it on a T-stat so it shuts off at night. Just put this clamp on fan down low and blowing air up the White Widows skirt…

And your RH problem is when the light is off?

I would go 10:1 water peroxide.

Ventilation should be run 24/7.

It is actually both although seems to increase a little during the day when the lights are on. I am noticing something in the short time just since I first put the circulation clamp fan that the RH is falling slowly. Really glad I asked this group my question as I probably wouldn’t have thought to move more air through the tent.
I love this forum!

Thanks Midwest, I’ll have my spray bottle at the ready. I am going to keep the fans running all the time now… :+1:

Leave the exhaust fan and circulation fans run 24/7 as Midwest mentioned. Dehumidifiers inside the tent only adds to the problem the air needs to be dried out outside of the tent/room and circulated into and out of the grow area.

The leaves look like she’s asking for something. Specifically K or P I believe. The yellowing that spots and looks like a banana, is normally ‘need more bloom food’

Can I see more leaves?

Also I agree. She has a good deal longer to go. Those pistils recede and the calyx swell.

Hi PurpNGold, here is a thread I started a few days ago that has leaf photos and the full plant.

So I got some first hand experience from @TransplantedFarmgirl on the White Widow and how it is a trait to look pretty awful before it’s done. I have been feeding Bergman’s Flowertime every few days, and putting Epson salt and bone meal as well. PH is 6.5 as of this morning.

In my learning curve after the purple lights were traded out to my HLG The tent temp went down so why do I need air movement BECAUSE you do, lesson 420.024. I have 3 fans going 24/7 humidifier in the tent and a dehumidifier outside so its pulling the air from a conditioned lung room. I Shut the outside vent off just bring cooler air in from downstairs working alot better now

Well the good news is there is no sign of mold thus far and it could be that my temp/humidity sensor is out of calibration. Keeping fans on 24/7 now, my dehumidifier barely is pulling water out of the air, around a half cup in 24 hours, which is makes me question the accuracy of the RH sensor I am using. I only have 2 plants in my indoor setup, and they are staggered in development by about 3 or 4 weeks. The younger one, a Wedding Cake AF seems perfectly happy and is showing many flowers. The White Widow is near the end and it doesn’t look entirely well but hopefully will get it over the end zone yet. The humidity factor is my main concern. I don’t know why I can’t get the RH down or even why it is so high. Normally that room has been under 50%. Anyway this is probably the last time I attempt to grow in there during the summer months because the house really dries out in the dead of winter with wood heat getting the RH down under 30. I have my outdoor plants that are finally catching their stride now that the weather has warmed up. Hopefully between the outdoor grow and the indoor one I will have something good to smoke!

We have a small dispensary here, they don’t have a very big selection and at $60 for 1/8oz, it gets a little expensive!
