The specifications of the inside are below:
Tent: Opulent 32x32x63
Lights: Viparspectra 300W LED hooked up & (4) 6500K 23W & (4) 2700K 23W CFL Bulbs available for use
Fans: (1) 8in exhaust fan at the top, (2) 6in clip on fans connected to 6in air ducts leading out. (1) 4in intake fan connected to a window air conditioning unit (1) 8in floor fan facing upward.
(1) reptile humidifier
My two babies sprouted and were planted into the jiffy pellets yesterday.
Earlier in the day I had 1 23W CFL on for about 4hrs before the 300W LED kicked on. Regrettably I fell asleep before turning the CFL off and when I woke up this morning the temp was 86 deg ! . I turned up the AC and itâs dropped to 81 but still too high.
Any advice how to fix this problem ? I donât wanna kill my babies before they really even get a chance.
All advice, comments and observations are welcomed!!
Welcome to the community ! Do you have a viable speed on your 8-inch exhaust fan thatâs a big fan for that size tent. If so youâre probably end up down on low speed. And you mention temperature are you exhausting the hot stale air outside?
Thank you @kellydans for the welcome! The fan has a 420 cfm but I do not know the fan speed. I am exhausting the air into the room that the tent is in.
Try leaving the fresh air intake ,4inch laying on the floor, thats where all your cold air is going to be , folks tend to think u need to push cold air but getting rid of the old hot air is just as important if not more important
Pulling the hot air out should work better than trying to push cold air in. Pushing cold air from the bottom will cause the air to swirl and mix before the excess is pushed out. Pulling from the top means you exhaust all the hottest air and the negative pressure will automatically pull in cool air at the bottom.
I have this 10x10 light/fan in the room I have the tent in. Would it be effective for me to connect the exhaust fan to this fan as well that pushes the hot air out the room ?
I had some pretty bad heat issues also, living in california with no central ac.
What i did to combat it was duct the exhaust out the window, and i got an AC unit in the room maxed out to 60.
I have my light scheduled to turn on at night, and be off during the day.
The highest ive hit so far is 86F, but its a lot better than the 95 i was hitting prior to my adjustments.
My temps now are mostly around 72-80F, sometime spiking up to 86 for a couple hours during the day on a hot day, but because im not in flowering i just open up the tent and allow the cooler air from the room to enter like that and itll keep it under 80.
Sorry for the late replys. ilgm only allows a certain # of post a day when your newâšď¸. But nonetheless shoutouts to @AloysiusDevadanderAbercrombie@Tinman & @Siksr for the suggestions!!
Update: After talking to some help I decided to connect the AC to the 6 in air duct closest to it. This took away an exhaust outlet but I still kept the fan in the tent to help circulate the air. Iâve posted a picture below
My second baby hasnât shown herself but I know sheâs coming . All of the temperature issues had me worried that I was killing them but now we have hope
