Hope this works

Here are a couple plants I’m growing, does anyone know why the stems are purple on one plant. Is that normal or do i have a serious problem. Any advice is appropriated.

You should fill out a support ticket with all important info first so the community can help you better
maybe @Majiktoker or @MacGyverStoner
Can help better with this
But it can be a sign of a problem starting or normal to the strain so hard to tell with info provided

To me, they look okay. Not seeing a problem. Purple doesn’t always mean a problem as @Countryboyjvd1971 said. What is the strain? My WW had some purple looking stems but they’re growing great.

Red/purple stems are caused from a cal mag and phosphorus deficiency, or also strain genetics however likely seeing your photos you have a cal mag and phosphorus deficiency.

Your ph for soil is also a smidge to high your ph for soil should be 6.3-6.9, ph sweet spot for soil would be 6.5-6.6

Happy growings good luck

@Bnunu

It’s most likely genetics the purple stems .
But your P H is to high. Should be 5.8 your P H is off at 7.2

Ok I’ll work on my ph. Thanks.

Your plants do look really good.so by fixing your P H now will sav your plants from having issue’s later on.

That’s the only one with the purple stems. Out of all my plants. Thanks for advice.

@garrigan62, do not misguide this grower, he is growing in soil, his issue is a cal mag issue in an above post he has gave to his plants and it has started to work, and his ph should be at 6.5-6.6 for the fact has growing in soil, had he been growing in hydro id agree your ph should be 5.8

@garrigan62 so my ph should be 6 to 6.6. in soil. do u grow in soil and 6.5 range worked for you. just don,t want to have to start all over

In his support ticket h clearly states and I quote " PH of runoff or solution in reservoir? 7.2 "
So he was given the correct info.

@Bnunu

Yes I do and that is correct.

This

is where I like my ph to be to 6.75 tops . As a new grower who loves to read and learn about new things it seems that at least 80 % of all the issues that people have can be traced back to a ph imbalance and a lockout of a nutrient that is critical to that particular stage of the plants life . This really helped me understand the why of ph being so important good luck
