Homemade tent and light

Lol, it’s not a par meter…too expensive… this one was like $14 at Lowes.

Also a T5 4 ft at each corner of my box. :sunglasses:

I figured. Most of those won’t quantify the red/blue led light properly. I get that you’re using it reference, and there shouldn’t really be any problem with that. But it won’t compare the led to the fluorescent. At least none of them that I’ve seen.

Ok, well I am venturing forward conservatively. I would hate to screw things up at this point

I think it looks pretty cool.

Thanks @Tr33 , it was more work but once everything is completely finished, hopefully it will be as good as a store bought tent

For sure!.Let me know what you think of those lights as I was looking at them too. I bought a couple tripplers, so I can turn one light socket to hold three bulbs and was thinking about putting those in them.

Well, I can already tell you that they were smaller than I thought they would be, but even being small, the amount of light they produce is amazing.
I got 8 bulbs for $27, here are the specs and the LED color count

It looks good and don’t worry about saving money doing homemade. I picked up 5 vehicle sun shades for 50 cents each on clearance. If you can use your creativity and utilize what others toss off kudos!

I have 4(different) lights like that and I tell you whit that you will not be able to get a decent yield, sorry… You need to throw some money in a 300w (Mars 300, meizhi 300w or something else) to get at least 1oz per plant. Just my thoughts. The real power is 3-5w per light. They are good for seedling maybe.

I was thinking of doing a set up like this. I’m too cheap and live in a trailer park outdoors is a no no and with family I was thinking of setting it up I’m my storage room on my dresser. What’s the fan for? I’m new at this, sorry…

What kind of lights are these?

Do you have links for lights that you think are good?

Make a search on Amazon for Mars / meizhi or grow light.
If you can put them in the sun will be better

Right now I have them (5 plants) in pots on my window seal. I live in a trailer park so outside isn’t an option. I just bought 5-5 gallon smart pots so I was thinking of putting them in front of my window seal on the dresser in my room. But eventually I will have to move them I’m sure.

You just explained every reason why you really must build or buy a tent. Those plants, sooner or later, will start to smell so much that all of your neighbors will be smelling them too.

@torixredduer have you considered maybe doing something like a pc case or speaker cabinet build? Won’t yield much, but very good stealth operation.

Very innovative. Myself, I made a wooden frame and pieced a cover together from white cardboard boxes. You can find CFLs in any color range so you can adjust between veg and flower. Great work!

I’ve seen things online special for stealth but I don’t remember what they were called. But thank you for the idea I’ll have to Google some stuff :sparkling_heart:
